Tony Nominee Annaleigh Ashford Will Bring Solo Show to Chicago for Single Performance

Broadway In Chicago has announced Tony Award nominee Annaleigh Ashford (Kinky Boots, Chicago production of WICKED, You Can't Take It With You and Masters of Sex) makes her solo Chicago premiere with an evening of song, story and sequin in her critically-acclaimed, Lost in the Stars, for one-night only on Saturday, March 21 at 8 PM at the Broadway Playhouse at Water Tower Place (175 E. Chestnut). Individual tickets go on-sale to the public on Friday, February 6 at 10 AM.

Annaleigh Ashford opened her solo cabaret Lost In The Stars at 54 BELOW last night. With a deft sense of humor, a glowing smile, a big spoon, and indefatigable pizazz, Ashford brought the 70s back to life with her inspired takes on disco classics and other pop anthems that we all know by heart. Ashford's Lost In The Stars gives audiences perfectly offers audiences a performance that ranges from mild to wild but never fails to impress.

Currently appearing in the Broadway company of If/Then, nationally renowned concert soloist and proud Broadway veteran, Joe Cassidy brings this musky goblet of rock to the hallowed halls of 54 Below backed by a band of worldclass musicians: Drew X Coles, Alec Berlin, Mike Rosengarten, Tony Steele, and Damien Bassman, and featuring guest soloists: Tamika Sonja Lawrence (If/Then, Matilda, Book Of Mormon) and David Josefsberg (Motown, Wedding Singer, Les Miserables). He'll perform the songs of some of his early influences and idols such as Kansas, Styx, Foreigner, Stevie Wonder, U2, and many more!

Jason Rabinowitz, Christina Sajous, Jennifer Sanchez and Frederick Weller will join the previously announced Renee Elise Goldsberry in I'm Getting My Act Together and Taking It on the Road, the final Encores! Off-Center presentation of the 2013 season, playing for five performances, July 24 - 27. The show will be directed and choreographed byKathleen Marshall, with music direction by Chris Fenwick. Jeanine Tesori is the Encores! Off-Center artistic director. In keeping with City Center's founding mission to make the arts accessible to all and to attract younger audiences, the majority of tickets are $25.
