EBay Auction Winner Bids $7300 to Join Eddie Trunk's Bowling Team at 4th Annual 'Bowl for Ronnie' Charity Bowling Party

This year's BOWL FOR RONNIE Celebrity Bowling Party benefiting the Ronnie James Dio Stand Up and Shout Cancer Fund will once again include a celebrity bowling team captained by broadcast personality and event host Eddie Trunk, and a generous Dio fan from San Jose, California has secured a place on that team with a winning EBay auction bid of $7300 for the charity. The Fourth Annual BOWL FOR RONNIE, coming up on Thursday, October 25, 2018 at PINZ Bowling Center in Studio City, California, will feature the celebrity bowling tournament and a raffle drawing for prizes and memorabilia.

Celebrity Bowlers Set for 4th Annual 'Bowl for Ronnie' Charity Bowling Party

The Fourth Annual BOWL FOR RONNIE Celebrity Bowling Party, benefiting the Ronnie James Dio Stand Up and Shout Cancer Fund (www.diocancerfund.org) will take place on Thursday, October 25, 2018 at PINZ Bowling Center in Studio City, California. The event will be hosted by television and radio personality Eddie Trunk, who is heard on SiriusXM's Volume channel and whose new TV series TrunkFest airs on AXS-TV.

An incredible line-up of world-class musicians and vocalists gathered together, under the helm of Grammy award-winning producers Bob Kulick and Bruce Bouillet, to recreate 11 classics from the catalog of one of music's greatest, best-loved bands, the icons of theatrical shock rock, the mighty KISS! 'How To Bring History To Life Onstage' Community Arts Workshop Comes to Strawbery Banke Museum

October 2 - 11, Pontine Theatre, a resident compnay at Strawbery Banke Museum,  presents a Community Arts Workshop,  HOW TO BRING HISTORY TO LIFE ONSTAGE.  Worshops will be offered from 5:30 to 7pm on Tuesdays & Thursdays at Strawbery Banke Museum's Tyco Visitors' Center located at 14 Hancock Street, Portsmouth NH.  All adult community members are welcome, no experience necessary.

MasterVoices Announces 2018-19 Season

Ted Sperling, Artistic Director of MasterVoices, announced details of the acclaimed ensemble's 77th season, celebrating the power of the human voice to unite, inspire and connect since 1941. The upcoming season will be framed by two major musical events, the New York premiere of a multi-media version of Handel's oratorioIsrael in Egypt performed at Carnegie Hall, and a new adaptation of the Kurt Weill-Ira Gershwin-Moss Hart avant-garde musical, Lady in the Dark, starring Victoria Clark at New York City Center. Lady in the Dark has not been seen in New York since it was presented at New York City Center in 1994 as part of the inaugural Encores! season.

The Warner Presents Disney's NEWSIES

Stop the presses! The Warner Stage Company will present Disney's NEWSIES on the Main Stage November 3-11, 2018, sponsored by Thomaston Savings Bank. Set in NYC at the turn of the century, this is the rousing tale of Jack Kelly, a charismatic newsboy and leader of a ragged band of teenaged 'newsies' who dream of only a better life far from the hardship of the streets. The story is inspired by the real-life 'Newsboy Strike of 1899,' when newsboy Kid Blink led a band of orphaned newsies on an action against powerful newspaper publishers. High energy and with non-stop thrills, the stage version introduces eight brand-new songs by the original team of Alan Menken and Jack Feldman while keeping many of the beloved songs from the film. The Warner Stage Company production of Disney's NEWSIES is directed by Richard McKenna with music director Jim Luurtsema, choreographer Sharon W. Houk and associate choreographer Caitlin Nolan Beaudry.

Main Street Theatre Works Celebrates 15 Years At The Kennedy Mine Amphitheatre

Ghostlight Records has announced it will record the New York City Center production of Alan Jay Lerner and Frederick Loewe's musical Brigadoon, for a new cast recording to be released this fall. Brigadoon has book and lyrics by Alan Jay Lerner and music by Frederick Loewe. Starring Kelli O'Hara, Patrick Wilson and Stephanie J. Block, the show features The Encores! Cast Recording Announced for BRIGADOON Starring O'Hara and Wilson

GHOSTLIGHT RECORDS has announced it will record the New York City Center (Arlene Shuler, New York City Center President & CEO) production of Alan Jay Lerner and Frederick Loewe's musical Brigadoon, for a new cast recording to be released this fall. Brigadoon has book and lyrics by Alan Jay Lerner and music by Frederick Loewe. Starring Kelli O'Hara, Patrick Wilson and Stephanie J. Block, the show features The Encores! Orchestra, led by Music Director Rob Berman. The Annual Gala Production was directed and choreographed by Christopher Wheeldon, with Jack Viertel serving as artistic advisor. The album is being produced by Kurt Deutsch, Lawrence Manchester, Rob Berman and Emily Altman.

Writers In The Loft Presents Richard Russo, 5/7

Pulitzer Prize-winning author Richard Russo visits The Music Hall Loft for a Writers in the Loft series event to discuss his first collection of personal essays, THE DESTINY THIEF: Essays on Writing, Writers and Life, in which he provides insight into his life as a writer, teacher, friend, and reader. From a commencement speech he gave at Colby College to the story of how an oddly placed toilet made him reevaluate the purpose of humor in art and life, to his harrowing journey accompanying a dear friend as she pursued gender-reassignment surgery, these stories traverse Russo's writing life, expanding our understanding of who he is and how his singular, incredibly generous mind works. The hour-long event will include an author presentation and Q&A moderated by Ian Aldrich, Deputy Editor at Yankee Magazine.
