The Old Globe today announced the complete cast and creative team of Red Velvet by Lolita Chakrabarti.

Vassar & New York Stage and Film just announced casting for the final weeks of the 32ndPowerhouse Season, running through July 31st at Vassar College in Poughkeepsie, NY.

The John F. Kennedy Center for the Performing Arts hosts more than 150 outstanding theater students from colleges and universities across the nation as part of the 48th annual Kennedy Center American College Theater Festival (KCACTF), which runs April 12-16, 2016 in multiple locations throughout the Center. Thousands of student artists from eight regions across the country presented their work at regional festivals from January 5 through February 27, 2016 and more than 150 were selected to travel to the Kennedy Center in Washington, D.C., for an all-expenses-paid trip to participate in the national festival.

City Theatre continues its 2013-2014 season with The Mountaintop by Katori Hall, a powerful and provocative reimagining of a pivotal night in DR. Martin Luther King, Jr.'s life-his last. Directed by Peter Flynn, The Mountaintop runs on City Theatre's Mainstage from tonight, January 18 to February 9, 2014, with an Opening Night performance on Friday, January 24 at 8pm.

Meanwhile, McKenzie threatens to end her partnership with Arroyo after she finds out he lied to her, on Tuesday, April 30 (10:00-11:00 PM, ET/PT) on CBS.

Dennis Quaid, Michael Chiklis, Carrie-Anne Moss, Jason O'Mara and Taylor Handley star in a rebroadcast of VEGAS, on a special night and time, Saturday, September 29th.

HERO Theatre announced today that the cast of the "King Lear" benefit staged reading starring Olympia Dukakis and directed by Austin Pendleton will include Louis Cancelmi (Sarah Kane's "Blasted" at Soho Rep), Lynn Cohen ("Sex and the City," Tina Howe's "Chasing Manet'), Dashiell Eaves ("Becky Shaw", "A Behanding In Spokane"), Paul Lazar (Classic Stage Company's "Three Sisters", "Silence of the Lambs") and George Morfogen ("Freud's Last Session", CSC's "Three Sisters", and HBO's "OZ"). The cast also includes Elisa Bocanegra, Seth Duerr, Korey Jackson, Albert Jones, Thomas Kopache, James Martinez, Desiree Matthews, Anya Migdal, Liam Mitchell and Bobby Plasencia.

Jujamcyn Theaters (Jordan Roth, President) and True Colors Theatre Company (Kenny Leon, Co-Founding Artistic Director) have announced the winners of the 3rd Annual August Wilson Monologue Competition which took place last night, Monday, May 9th, at the August Wilson Theatre. In first place is Johari Mackey, currently a senior at Thornwood H.S. in South Holland, IL. Ms. Mackey will attend Carnegie-Mellon University in the fall, where she will receive a full scholarship. Johari is also an Illinois High School Association double-state champion in dramatic duet acting and prose reading. In second place is 18-year-old Aubrey Taylor from Seattle Washington. In third place is DeVaughn Robinson, a 9th grade student at Winchester Thurston High School in Pittsburgh, PA and a founding member of Pittsburgh's Alumni Theatre Company. The first place winner recieved a $1000 cash prize, the runner-up a $500 cash prize and the honorable mention a $250 cash prize. Each of the winners has also become eligible for college scholarship opportunities. A number of AWMC participants from previous years have found themselves college-bound thanks in no small part to the competition experience. All participants received a bound, full collection of August Wilson's plays. Co-sponsored by True Colors Theatre Company and Jujamcyn Theaters, this year's national competition, the third of its kind to take place on the stage of Broadway's August Wilson Theatre, was judged by Sharif Atkins, Katori Hall, Maurice Hines, Tamara Tunie, and Pauletta Washington and featured performances by Albert Jones, Brenda Pressley, Ruben Santiago-Hudson, and Guy Davis. The competition afforded eighteen students from Atlanta, Boston, Chicago, New York, Pittsburgh and Seattle the opportunity to attend a Broadway show, work closely with Wilson's collaborators, director Kenny Leon and dramaturge Todd Kreidler, and explore popular Manhattan attractions before making their Broadway debuts.

Directed by Arin Arbus, this production reunites Ms. Arbus and Mr. Thompson whom she directed in the title role of Othello two seasons ago. Mr. Thompson won OBIE and Lucille Lortel awards for his performance. Macbeth features Annika Boras as Lady Macbeth, Albert Jones (Theatre for a New Audience's Pericles and Oroonoko) as Macduff and Graham Winton (Theatre for a New Audience's Don Juan, Julius Caesar, Pericles, Othello and Measure for Measure) as Banquo. Macbeth begins previews Saturday, March 12 at 8:00pm, opens Sunday, March 20 at 7:00pm, and runs through Thursday, April 21 at The Duke on 42nd Street, a New 42nd Street® project, 229 West 42nd Street. Philadelphia's Wilma Theater has announced casting for its upcoming production of William Shakespeare's MACBETH. The production will run from September 29 to November 7, with an official opening on Ocotber 6. It will be directed by Blanka Zizka.
