The Oprah Winfrey Network (OWN) has released highlights of its upcoming September 2014 schedule.

The supernatural power of love is taking Orange County by storm as the new Broadway and West End musical GHOST - THE MUSICAL, adapted from the Academy Award-winning film, opens at Segerstrom Center for the Arts, today, July 29 - August 10.

Point Foundation (Point) will present its Leadership Award to songwriter Diane Warren, whose work has been recognized with Grammy and Golden Globe awards and multiple Academy Award nominations. The Point Leadership Award is given to an individual who has achieved prominence in their professional career and unequivocally supported the lesbian, gay, bisexual, transgender and queer (LGBTQ) community. Warren has repeatedly spoken out against bigotry of all kinds, including discrimination directed at the LGBTQ community. The 'It Gets Better' musical theater project that is touring the U.S. in support of LGBTQ youth includes songs of Warren's alongside those of Gnarls Barkley, Kelly Clarkson and Alanis Morissette.

She burst onto the scene with her hit single 'You Outta Know' and followed it with hit after hit all from her album Jagged Little Pill. In the video, she impersonates everyone from Barbra to Celine from Bernadette to Alanis and at her show titled 'Diva Moments' at Rockwell on Sunday, June 29th , she brought those divas and more to a packed house of enthusiastic fans.

Stageworks Media will present an industry reading of GIRLS JUST WANT TO HAVE FUN, a New High School Musical written by Eric Price and directed by Daniel Goldstein (Godspell). Set in a prep school, GIRLS JUST WANT TO HAVE FUN is a modern retelling of the Jane Austin classic Emma, and features a score comprised of contemporary pop songs made famous by female singers, songwriters, and female-led bands.
