The Artists Theatre Group is presenting an invitation-only stage reading of a new musical, Republic, by Dylan Glatthorn, who wrote both music and lyrics for the score and co-authored the book on Monday, April 13, at the Acorn Theatre in the Theatre Row Complex (410 West 42nd St.) at 7 PM. The backdrop of the musical is the events that lead up to the revolution that made Ireland a free nation.

Leslie Kritzer and Doug Kreeger, stars of the new hit Off-Broadway musical ROOMS a rock romance, will be this week's special guests on SIRIUS XM Live on Broadway Wednesday, April 8th at noon at The Broadway Concierge & Ticket Center in The Times Square Information Center (Seventh Ave. between 46th & 47th St.) Leslie and Doug will be performing musical numbers from ROOMS a rock romance, which recently opened to rave reviews at New World Stages. Ford's Theatre Society Director Paul Tetreault announced the Society's 2009-2010 season, a lineup that includes 'Black Pearl Sings!,' a new production of 'A Christmas Carol,' Norman Corwin's 'The Rivalry,' originally read as part of the Living Lincoln series, and the musical 'Little Shop of Horrors.' Featuring current students of the department and alumni in collaboration with members of the UM Symphony Band, the 25 th Anniversary Concert celebrates the silver anniversary of this program with a wide variety of musical numbers, dances and musical theatre overtures. Faculty members Brent Wagner, Linda Goodrich, Mark Madama direct and choreograph, with Cynthia Kortman Westphal conducting members of the University Symphony Band.
