As part of the New York Philharmonic's celebrations marking the 50th anniversary of its historic Concerts in the Parks, the Philharmonic will present Share the Stage in Brooklyn, Queens, Bronx, and Staten Island, inviting local musicians to perform on the stage in their home boroughs before the Orchestra's performances.
The North Carolina Symphony, led by guest conductor Karina Canellakis, will perform a two-night Russian Festival that features two different programs of some of classical music's greatest works at the 2015 Rex Healthcare Summerfest Series on Friday, June 12 and Saturday June 13, at 7:30 p.m. at Cary's Booth Amphitheatre. The New York Philharmonic has announced Chinese-born American violinist, Frank Huang as their new Concertmaster. Huang has served as the Arizona Musicfest Orchestra Concertmaster for the last two seasons and intends to return to the Arizona Musicfest Orchestra in February 2016.
