Nominations for the best musicals at the Edinburgh fringe annouced, Jaime Winstone to make her stage debut and a new one-off Notes From New York concert revealed.

Emmy Winner Lance Horne brings his night of songs direct from Oz and the West End back to roost at Joe's Pub, where it all began. Scheduled to appear are Alan Cumming, Michael Urie, Daphne Rubin-Vega, Nathan Lee Graham, and Cheyenne Jackson. The evening is set for Friday, September 18 at 9:30pm.

The New York Post's Michael Riedel reported last week in his 'On Broadway' column in the The New York Post that 'SPIDER-MAN' had 'lost the girl' as actress Evan Rachel Wood's agents considered the project 'dead' and that 'she's available for other work.'

Producers Angelo Fraboni and Daryl Roth have announced that the New York premiere of Vigil, written by Morris Panych and directed by Stephen DiMenna, will begin performances Sunday, September 20, at 3pm at the DR2 Theatre, 103 East 15 Street, east of Union Square. On August 6th, Variety revealed that 'the extensive work being done to prepare for the technically demanding show, both in the shop constructing the physical production and in the theater where 'SPIDER-MAN' is due to open, is said to have stopped this week.'

Image Entertainment, Inc. a leading independent licensee and distributor of entertainment programming in North America, announced today that it has acquired all North American rights to 'Dare,' starring Emmy Rossum ('The Phantom of the Opera'), Zach Gilford ('Friday Night Lights'), Ashley Springer ('Teeth'), Ana Gasteyer ('Mean Girls'), and Rooney Mara ('Nightmare on Elm Street'), along with Sandra Bernhard and Alan Cumming.
