TV and stage icon Hayley Mills will be starring alongside Belinda Lang in the world premiere stage production of Ladies In Lavender at Royal & Derngate this spring. This evocative and heart-warming story of unfulfilled dreams and unrequited love runs from Friday 6 April to Saturday 28 April, as part of the 2012 Made In Northampton season before embarking on a national tour.

The Finborough Theatre is pleased to announce that Dawn King has just been awarded a Pearson Playwrights' Bursary for New Writing as Playwright-in-Residence at the Finborough Theatre. This is the seventh year that the Finborough Theatre has won this prestigious new writing award and - once again - the Finborough Theatre is the only unsubsidised theatre to win a Pearson bursary.

We are very pleased to announce that the Finborough Theatre's Pearson Playwright-in-Residence Anders Lustgarten has won the Catherine Johnson Award for Best Play for A Day at the Racists, which received its world premiere at the Finborough Theatre in March 2010. It is the third major award for the Finborough Theatre in the last three weeks, following its recent awards of The Empty Space Peter Brook Award 2010 and The Writers' Guild New Writing Encouragement Award 2010 for Artistic Director Neil McPherson.

The new team are Literary Manager Van Badham, Literary Assistant Daniel Burgess and Senior Reader Laura Jessop. The first fruits of their work will appear in Vibrant 2010 - An Anniversary Festival of Finborough Playwrights , celebrating the 30th year of the Finborough Theatre with 30 new plays by 30 UK and international playwrights, discovered, developed or championed by the Finborough Theatre including world premieres of brand new work from some of the hundreds of playwrights who began their careers with us.
