Bay Street Theatre is pleased to announce that its 23rd Annual Summer Gala will take place in Sag Harbor at the Long Wharf on July 12, 2014 to benefit Bay Street's educational and theatrical programs. The 2014 Honorees for Outstanding Broadway or Off-Broadway Debut Performance, the 6th Annual Dorothy Loudon Award for Excellence in the Theater for an Outstanding Performance in a Broadway or Off-Broadway Production, and the John Willis Award for Lifetime Achievement in the Theatre, were announced today by the Theatre World. The winners will be celebrated at the 70th Annual Theatre World Awards Ceremony set Monday evening, June 2, 2014 beginning at 6:45 p.m. at Circle in the Square (West 50th Street, between Broadway and 8th Avenue), home of the current Broadway revival of Lady Day at Emerson's Bar and Grill.

The 2014 Syracuse Stage Gala, an annual fundraiser presented by the Syracuse Stage Board of Trustees and the Syracuse Stage Guild, will take place on Saturday, June 7 at the Schine Student Center on the Syracuse University campus. The event will include a performance by Jesse Cook and his band, incorporating elements of flamenco rumba, jazz, and many forms of world music. Playwright Christopher Durang - who won his first Tony Award in 2013 for his comedy VANYA AND SONIA AND MASHA AND SPIKE on Broadway - will make his debut in the role of Vanya when the play is presented at Bucks County Playhouse (70 S. On March 18, 2014, Improv Wars will again hit the Columbus entertainment scene with Improv Wars: The Spring Offensive in a five week run at Studio 35, 3055 Indianola Ave, Columbus, OH 43202. As with the two previous engagements at Studio 35, Improv Wars will showcase local improv groups competing for audience laughs and applause. This is an interactive evening where the audience gets to be a part of the show by providing suggestions to give the groups inspiration for their scene. The winning group for each night goes on to the finale on May 13th, competing for the Winner of the Improv Wars: The Spring Offensive. Prizes will be awarded to the winning team.
