Bob Ost & Wildly Productive Productions and Xoregos Performing Company, with generous support by Granite Hills Press and The Confucius Institute of San Diego University, are thrilled to announce that Romance of the Western Chamber, a musical adaptation (in English) of the fabled Chinese classic Xi Xiang Ji, will make its U.S. Premiere this fall. The production will play a strictly limited engagement of 14 performances, beginning Thursday, September 14 at TADA! Theater (located at 15 W. 28th Street, 3rd Floor), with opening night scheduled for Saturday, September 16, 2017. Performances will take place according to the following schedule: Thursdays & Friday at 8:00pm; Saturdays at 2pm & 8pm; and Sundays at 3pm.
The Hispanic Society of America was named the recipient of the 2017 Princess of Asturias Award for International Cooperation from a field of nineteen candidates. The prestigious award was established in Spain by the Prince of Asturias Foundation in 1981 to acknowledge individuals, entities, and organizations worldwide who have made significant contributions and helped to promote cultural and humanistic values that form part of the universal heritage of humanity and consolidate the existing links between the principality of Asturias and the title traditionally held by the heirs to the Crown of Spain.
