Fountain Gallery Presents: A DECADE Collected Works by Fountain Gallery Artists

Fountain Gallery, celebrating its 10th Anniversary year representing artists with mental illness and located at 702 Ninth Avenue, today announced the upcoming opening of A Decade: Collected Works by Fountain Gallery Artists, showcasing artworks acquired by collectors over the past 10 years and loaned to the Gallery for this exhibition.

MoMA Announces Co-Chairs for Kathryn Bigelow Benefit, 11/10

The Museum of Modern Art's 2010 Film Benefit, an event to be held on November 10, honors the Academy Award-winning writer-director Kathryn Bigelow. Co-chairs for this year's event are Ralph Fiennes, Harrison Ford, Jodie Foster, Hilary and Wilbur Ross, and Lizzie and Jonathan Tisch. Honorary Co-chairs are Marie-Josée Kravis and Jerry I. Speyer. The event raises funds to ensure that great works of cinema continue to join the collection of The Museum of Modern Art.

Rush, Rickman, Shaw & More Set for BAM in 2011

Joseph V. Melillo, executive producer of the Brooklyn Academy of Music, today announced programming for the BAM 2011 Spring Season, which runs from Jan 7 through Jun 11, 2011. The season comprises eight theater, opera, and dance engagements and features BAMcinématek series, BAMcafé Live weekend music events, artist talks, visual art exhibitions, and literary events.

Metropolitan Museum Hosts P.S. Art 2010 Exhibition 6/8-8/8

Exceptional works of art by 70 New York City public school students, ages four through 20, will be displayed in the Ruth and Harold D. Uris Center for Education at The Metropolitan Museum of Art for two months this summer through P.S. Art, a collaborative program between the New York City Department of Education and Studio in a School Association, Inc.

MOMA Presents Summergarden 2010: New Music for New York, Begins 7/11

The Museum of Modern Art's Summergarden concert series returns to The Abby Aldrich Rockefeller Sculpture Garden for four Sunday evenings beginning July 11, 2010. Summergarden, a tradition that began in 1971, is part of MoMA's long history of presenting jazz and classical music, including several premieres, in the Sculpture Garden. MoMA once again welcomes the participation of The Juilliard School and Jazz at Lincoln Center, whose collaboration makes Summergarden possible.

Fountain Gallery, the premier venue in New York City representing artists with mental illness, has announced that 100 original works by its artists will be exhibited for sale at the seventh End of Annual Meeting Season Celebration on Friday, June 4, 2010, from 6:00 to 10:00 p.m. The event will take place at Ellen Philip Associates, located at 134 West 26th Street in Manhattan.
