Professional ballet dancer and Broadway actress Deanna Doyle (former Meg Giry in Phantom of the Opera and Astaire Award nominee for Tuck Everlasting) stars in a newly released short dance film in which she dances the role of the Dew Drop Fairy in 'Waltz of the Flowers' from Tchaikovsky's The Nutcracker Suite. Berkeley-based Dana Lawton Dances has scheduled two performances, of The Farallonites, at the Lobero Theatre in Santa Barbara on Saturday, February 4. This follows its near sold out run in San Francisco in September and subsequent tour in Thailand that followed in October.

The Los Angeles premiere of Rodgers & Hammerstein’s Oklahoma! directed by Daniel Fish opens Thursday, September 15 at 8 p.m. at Center Theatre Group / Ahmanson Theatre. The tour will mark the first time a First-Class Equity production of Oklahoma! has toured North America in more than 40 years. This bold interpretation will play through October 16.

Stage director Toff De Venecia is toying at a postmodern take on Rodgers and Hammerstein’s classic 'Carousel,' which is widely known for its 'reinvention' of what the Broadway musical should be in 1945, along with its beloved songs 'You’ll Never Walk Alone,' 'If I Loved You,' and 'June is Bustin’ Out All Over.'
