Cortland Repertory Theatre To Hold Auditions For 2010 Summer Season 3/27

Cortland Repertory Theatre will hold auditions, by appointment, for its upcoming 39th annual summer season. Auditions will be held on Saturday, March 27 from 10:00 - 4:00 at Homer High School, 80 South West Street (Route 281), Exit 12 off Route 81 in Homer. Productions include 'Spider's Web,' 'See How They Run,' 'The Pajama Game,' 'Brigadoon,' 'Six Dance Lessons in Six Weeks,' and 'The Andrews Brothers'.

Peter Hall's Revival of BEDROOM FARCE Heads to the West End, 3/24

Peter Hall's production of BEDROOM FARCE, one of Ayckbourn's best loved works, opened to critical acclaim at the Rose Theatre in Kingston last year and now transfers to the West End. Hall first directed BEDROOM FARCE at the National Theatre in 1977.

Pulse Ensemble Theatre's LADIES IN RETIREMENT Opens Tonight, 3/8

Southside Theatre Guild Closes TEACHERS: THE MUSICAL, 3/6

TEACHERS: THE MUSICAL by Robin Seidman and David Reeb will play 3 weekends at the Southside Theatre Guild from February 18 through March 6. Performances will be on February 18, 19, 20, February 25, 26, 27, 28, and March 4, 5, 6. All performances will begin at 8 PM, except the February 28 matinee which will be performed at 2 PM.

Laurel Mill Playhouse Presents A MURDER IS ANNOUNCED, 3/19-4/11

Laurel Mill Playhouse, located at 508 Main Street in historic Laurel, MD., presents A Murder is Announced by Agatha Christie adapted for the stage by Leslie Darbon. Directed by Mark Allen and produced by Maureen Rogers, this mystery opens March 19.

March Theatre Openings & Closings on the California Central Coast

As we come to the beginning of March, a number of our California Central Coast theatre and live entertainment venues have recently closed or will soon be closing their current performance runs. However - never fear! As a very wise theatre professor of mine once told me - the only reason one show closes is so another one can open.

Elaine Paige Celebrates DVD Release at Dress Circle, 2/27

Elaine Paige will celebrate the release of her concert DVD with an appearance at Dress Circle in London. Paige will sign copies of her DVD for fans beginning at 1:30pm on February 27th. The DVD is from a concert stop on Paige's 40th Anniversary Tour. The concert, entitled 'Live in Australia,' was filmed during the New Zealand/Australian tour that took place earlier this year. This specific concert took place on October 31st, 2009.

Long Run Champion - Agatha Christie's Classic 'The Mousetrap'

For more than 56 years, THE MOUSETRAP has been thrilling audiences in London's West End. The longest running play in the world first opened at The Ambassadors Theatre in 1952 and starred the great Sir Richard Attenborough. Since then, many illustrious actors have taken roles in 'The cleverest murder mystery of the British Theatre' (The Daily Telegraph). The origins of the play prove Christie was a favorite with the British Royal family.

The Agatha Christie classic murder mystery, 'And Then There Were None,' will be read by Westport Country Playhouse actor alumni and audience favorites Geneva Carr, Keir Dullea, Beth Fowler, Charlotte Moore, Ciarán O'Reilly, Joe Paulik, Jay O. Sanders, Mark Shanahan, Mark Silence, Doug Stender and Paxton Whitehead on Monday, February 22, 7 p.m., at Westport Country Playhouse.
