Upcoming Theatre Communication Group Member Shows - 8/15 for Houston

Thrills, Chills and Music are all part of the Sands Theater Company's 2010-2011 Season. Here is what we have planned.

St. Nicholas, by Conor McPherson, will run July 15 - August 8, 2010 on the Neuhaus Stage this summer opposite the ExxonMobil Summer Chills series production of Agatha Christie's The Mousetrap.

Beginning July 2010, Alley Theatre will produce Agatha Christie's THE MOUSETRAP during its popular ExxonMobil Summer Chills series. The perfect summer outing for Houstonians seeking a cool respite from the summer heat, ExxonMobil Summer Chills is a great way to introduce live theatre to first-timers, giving them an opportunity to thrill in suspenseful moments and unexpected revelations.

42nd Street Moon's Artistic Director, Greg MacKellan, today announced casting for the first production of the 2010-11 Season: Broadway's greatest musical farce, A FUNNY THING HAPPENED ON THE WAY TO THE FORUM.

Her plays, like the longest running play on the West End The Mousetrap as well as this early hit Black Coffee, not only keep audience on the edge of their seats, guessing whodunit, but are as entertaining and fun as all get out, particularly when led by the devilishly fun Miss Marple, or in this case, the unparalleled Hercule Poirot. Theatre 4o's handsome production of Black Coffee is a real treat with a stellar ensemble.

Different Stages runs Agatha Christie's SPIDER'S WEB through July 24th. The production opened on July 2nd and is being performed at the Vortex on 2307 Manor Road. Performances are Thursdays through Saturdays at 8:00 p.m. and Sundays at 7 p.m. There is an added performance on Wednesday, July 21 at 8 p.m. Tickets are Pick your Price: $15, $20, $25, and $30.

Oscar Wilde's much loved play, An Ideal Husband returns to the West End for the first time in over 10 years. Directed by Lindsay Posner and starring Samantha Bond, Elliott Cowan, Alexander Hanson and Rachael Stirling, An Ideal Husband will open at the Vaudeville Theatre for previews from 4 November 2010.

The Great Game: Afghanistan - a festival exploring Afghan culture and history through twelve plays, a five day film programme, a ceramic exhibition and discussion sessions returns to the Tricycle Theatre for a limited run from 23 July until 29 August 2010 with a press day on 31 July.
