Rehearsals Start, Countdown Is On For RICHARD III At Maynardville

Rehearsals have started and the countdown is on to the much-anticipated production of Shakespeare's historic dark comic tragedy, RICHARD III. It will be presented at the Maynardville Open-Air Theatre from 7 February to 9 March 2019, directed by Geoffrey Hyland and starring award-winning actor Alan Committie in the title role.

Ken Ludwig To Be Distinguished Speaker At Annual Sherlock Holmes Birthday Weekend

Ken Ludwig - the two-time Olivier Award-winning playwright and author of more than two dozen plays, including the whodunits BASKERVILLE: A SHERLOCK HOLMES MYSTERY and a stage adaptation of Agatha Christie's MURDER ON THE ORIENT EXPRESS - will be the Distinguished Speaker at The Bakers Street Irregulars' Annual Sherlock Holmes Birthday Weekend on Friday, January 11 at the Yale Club in NYC, it has been announced by The Baker Street Irregulars, a literary society that celebrates all things Sherlockian.

Experience Theatre Project's THE PICTURE OF DORIAN GRAY Opens January 18

Experience Theatre Project, Beaverton's only professional immersive theater company, is proud to announce a Pacific Northwest premiere of The Picture of Dorian Gray by Oscar Wilde, at the Beaverton Masonic Lodge in old downtown Beaverton over four weekends in January and February, 2019. The show has been adapted for an immersive live theater experience by ETP's founder and artistic director, Alisa Stewart. The Picture of Dorian Gray is generously sponsored by Ronni Lacroute and the Regional Arts and Culture Coalition.

GLT Presents Agatha Christie's WITNESS FOR THE PROSECUTION

Great Lakes Theater (GLT), Cleveland's Classic Company, commences the second half its 2018-19 season with Agatha Christie's gripping courtroom thriller, Witness for the Prosecution. The production will be performed in the company's intimate and audience-friendly home at the Hanna Theatre, Playhouse Square, February 15 - March 10, 2019. Great Lakes Theater's own Producing Artistic Director, Charles Fee, directs the production.

Holiday Musical NOËL to Kick Off North American Tour November 17th, 2018

NOËL, the stunning new Holiday musical from top-selling children's author Eoin Colfer (Artemis Fowl) and preeminent Irish film composer Liam Bates is coming to North America! Having met with huge critical acclaim overseas, the show's producers are now planning its first North American national tour, which will open at the Ames Center in Minneapolis, MN on November 17th. NOËL is set to play 30 cities across the US and Canada, just in time for the Holiday season.

On Thursday, December 13th, Frank 'Fraver' Verlizzo will discuss his 5 decades as Broadway's award-winning theatrical poster designer with Broadway World's Richard Ridge in the Bruno Walter auditorium at the New York Public Library for the Performing Arts at Lincoln Center. Verlizzo, known as 'FRAVER,' is the author of the best-selling FRAVER BY DESIGN: Five Decades of Theatre Post Art from Broadway, Off-Broadway, and Beyond which was published in May by Schiffer Publishing. The book includes over 250 of his theatre poster designs from Broadway, Off-Broadway, regional and international productions. The Lincoln Center Library event begins at 6 pm and admission is free.
