The latest offering from the Shakespeare Theatre of NJ delves into the life of George Eliot: one of the most accomplished, and most unconventional, novelists of the Victorian era.

The Shakespeare Theatre of New Jersey will launch the Fall portion of its 2013 Season with the world premiere of A Most Dangerous Womanwritten by Cathy Tempelsman and directed by Tony-Award winner Richard Maltby, Jr. A Most Dangerous Woman, which explores the extraordinary life of Mary AnnEvans - better known by her pen name George Eliot - begins performances on September 18 at The Shakespeare Theatre's Main Stage - The F.M. Kirby Shakespeare Theatre. Responding to the exceptional interest in this new play about the famed Victorian author, The Shakespeare Theatre has extended the run and added six performances to the schedule. Performances of A Most Dangerous Woman will now continue through October 12th. Check out a first look below!

On Sunday July 29th, for the first time in NYC, Lincoln Center Out of Doors will present a day long, multifaceted festival of Irish culture. "Our Land" will celebrate the artistic, literary and musical heritage of Ireland, the mark it made on America and the continuing cross-cultural ties that bind the two countries.

Fallen Angel Theatre Company presents, as a part of its new playreading series, Sunny Days by Anto Nolan. The reading will take place on Monday, February 1st at 7pm. Directed by Nolan, the cast includes: Clodagh Bowyer, Sean Gormley, Laura Knight Keating, Aedin Moloney, Katherine O'Sullivan, and Loaisa Sexton.

Five notable productions, among a total 21, will receive their New York and world premieres beginning next week as part of the five-week all-Irish theatre festival 1st Irish 2009.
