The Wau Wau Sisters return home for their only show in NYC this summer to conjure a funny, raucous, ridiculous reinvention of The Last Supper - complete with 12 Disciples, umpteen cocktails, endless fun and fearless abandon!
WHY WON'T YOU LET ME BE GREAT!!! is a group show inspired by Kanye West's ground-breaking, 'Thom Yorke in the Strip Club' crossover pop album 808s & Heartbreak. Conceived by Brendan Kennedy and presented by Neal Medlyn and Catch in association with Performance Space 122, the evening-length performance will feature work by a vast array of downtown superstars showing pieces inspired by each song from the album, much as the Joffrey Ballet's (in)famous Billboards choreographed the songs of Prince.

Performance Space 122 will pay tribute to two critical pioneers in the world of dance and performance: Choreographer Ishmael Houston-Jones and Performance Critic C. Carr at 'Real Dancing with the Real Stars,' Performance Space 122's Spring Benefit 2009 to be held on Wednesday, May 27 at The Abrons Arts Center (466 Grand Street at Pitt Street, in Manhattan).
