Upcoming Theatre Communication Group Member Shows - 6/27 for Austin

Tickets for its new Fireworks Festival are selling so well that Berkeley Repertory Theatre has added an extra performance of Dan Hoyle's The Real Americans on Sunday, June 27 at 2:00 PM. A series of colorful and explosive performances, this summer's Fireworks display set off new solo solo shows from John Leguizamo and David Sedaris, which have already sold out their runs.

This spring, Berkeley Repertory Theatre and Center Theatre Group present In the Wake, a powerful world premiere from the creators of Broadway's Well. Obie Award-winners Lisa Kron and Leigh Silverman reunite for a searing show which questions whether we as Americans appreciate our freedom.

DUSK RINGS A BELL, starring Kate Walsh ('Private Practice,' 'Grey's Anatomy') and Paul Sparks (Broadway's HEDDA GABLER) began previews Wednesday, May 19; and officially opened Thursday, May 27; it played a limited engagement and will close on Sunday, June 20 Off-Broadway at Atlantic Stage 2 (330 West 16 Street).

NPR humorist and best-selling author David Sedaris took the stage at Berkeley Repertory Theatre to workshop stories from his upcoming book in front of a live audience. The author of wildly popular works such as Me Talk Pretty One Day, Naked, and When You Are Engulfed in Flames, Sedaris appeared nightly on Berkeley Rep's intimate Thrust Stage from June 14 through June 20, 2010, with a special matinee at 2 PM that Sunday.
