WaterTower Theatre Announces Spotlight Gala 2011, Held 2/19/2011

WaterTower Theatre's 2011 Spotlight Gala will be held on Saturday, February 19, 2011. The Gala will be Co-chaired by Anita Braun and Barbara Daseke.

The Gala Committee consists of John Ackley, CLU (CEO, Ackley Financial Group, Inc.), Landrie Bock (Business Manager, WaterTower Theatre), Barbara Bigham (Community Volunteer/WTT Board Member), Derek Blount (President, Sovereign Bank/WTT Vice President of the Board), April Bosworth (Partner, B&D Designs), Doug Boster (President, Doug Boster Catering), Shannon Brame (Community Volunteer/Co-Chair WOW!/WTT Board Member), Holly Canterbury (Community Volunteer), Ben Cunningham (President/CEO, Liberty Capital Bank), Elizabeth Fratantuono (Independent Consultant/WTT Board Member), David Guedry (Partner, Jones Day/President, WTT Board), Rodney Hand (Publisher, Addison - The Magazine of the North Dallas Corridor), Terry Martin (Producing Artistic Director, WaterTower Theatre), Katie Myatt (Goldman Sachs/WTT Board Member/Co-Chair YB4WTT), Janiece Niemann (Community Volunteer), Suzie Oliver (Meeting Planner, Challenge Management), Karol Omlor (Community Volunteer/Co-Chair, WOW!/WTT Board Member), Corky Pledger (Community Volunteer), Carol Resnick (Community Volunteer), Andrea Redmon (Owner, Redmon Catering), Keith Redmon (Consultant/Community Volunteer), Joyce Sanders (Community Volunteer) and Allie Theisen (Senior Attorney, Hewlett-Packard/WTT Board Member).

Sub-committee chairs include: Décor Co-chairs April Bosworth and Andrea Redmon; Cuisine Chair Corky Pledger; Silent Auction Chair April Bosworth; Live Auction Co-Chairs Shannon Brame and David Guedry; Gift Bag Chair Andrea Redmon; Underwriting Co-Chairs John Ackley and Ben Cunningham; Raffle Ticket Chair Allie Theisen; Invitations/RSVPs, Joyce Sanders.

The entertainment for Spotlight 2011 features well-known singer/actor Gary Floyd. More details on the Gala will be announced soon. The event is held at WaterTower Theatre in the Addison Theatre Centre.

WaterTower Theatre's 2010 Spotlight Gala was the most successful fundraising Gala for the Company to date, grossing (and netting) more charitable contributions than any prior year.

About the Co-Chairs

Anita Braun is in her sixth year as a member of the WaterTower Theatre Board of Directors and her fifth year as Co-Chair of the Gala. She graduated with a Bachelor of Science degree in Fashion Design from the University of North Texas. She owns her own company, Ambiance Art and Interiors, which focuses on corporate interior design. Anita serves on the March of Dimes Signature Chefs of Dallas Committee and, with Shannon Brame, is Co-Chairing this year's Culinary Committee. Anita's husband, Tom, recently completed his third term as a Councilman on the Addison Town Council.

Barbara Daseke is President of Barbara Elliott Interiors, a design firm specializing in luxury hotels and high-end homes across the country. Her most recent interior design projects have included homes in Palm Desert, CA and Colorado Springs, CO; condominiums in Dallas; and a new hotel near Scottsdale, AZ. Community service and volunteering are very important to Barbara. She serves on the board of TACA, a non-profit organization supporting the performing arts of North Texas, and is also on the board of the Dallas Symphony. Barbara works on many fundraising projects for Women of WaterTower Theatre (WOW!), the Dallas Symphony, the Dallas Museum of Art, Dallas Contemporary, Kidney Texas and Diffa. Barbara's husband, Don, is the Past President and past Chairman of the Board for WaterTower Theatre. Don has served as a Councilman on the Addison Town Council since February 2009.
