Photo Flash: First Look at Echo Theater Company's DRY LAND

Amy is curled up on the locker room floor. The Echo Theater Company presents the West Coast premiere of Dry Land, the riveting play by newcomer Ruby Rae Spiegel that has critics and audiences across the U.S. abuzz. Alana Dietze (A Small Fire) directs Connor Kelly-Eiding, Teagan Rose, Daniel Hagen, Ben Horwitz and Jenny Soofor an April 9 opening at the Echo's home base, Atwater Village Theatre.

The Flea to Premiere THE PLACE WE BUILT Next Month

The Flea Theater is excited to welcome playwright Sarah Gancher with the world premiere of THE PLACE WE BUILT. Artistic Associate Danya Taymor (My Daughter Keeps Our Hammer, I Hate Mexicans) directs members of The Bats, The Flea's resident acting company, with music direction and arrangements by The Bengsons. Previews start April 14th, with opening night slated for April 25th.

TUTA Theatre Chicago presents the Chicago premiere of THE EDGE OF OUR BODIES by Adam Rapp (Red Light Winter, Blackbird, The Hallway Trilogy), directed by Artistic Director Jacqueline Stone (The Silent Language, The Anyway Cabaret), and featuring Carolyn Molloy (The Jewels, The Silent Language). Pulitzer Prize Winner David Lindsay-Abaire to Join Juilliard as Co-Director of Lila Acheson Wallace American Playwrights Program

James Houghton, Richard Rodgers Director ofJuilliard's Drama Division, announced today that Pulitzer Prize winner David Lindsay-Abaire will join Marsha Normanas new co-director of Juilliard's Lila Acheson Wallace American Playwrights Program, beginning in the fall 2016 semester. Mr. Lindsay-Abaire, an alumnus of the program, will succeed Christopher Durang, who has served as co-director of the program with Ms. Norman since 1994.

Atlantic Theater Company just presented their Annual Gala last night, March 7, at The Pierre (2 East 61 Street). Actors' Choice celebrated Atlantic's actors with a fabulous evening of unexpected songs, honoring David Richenthal and the Richenthal Foundation for their long-term support of Atlantic's mission. This year, Atlantic asked a slate of favorite Atlantic actors to choose a song they love and a favorite musician to perform it. Directed by Neil Pepe with musical direction by Matt Gallagher, Actors' Choice was an evening of unexpected songs and celebration.
