Rapp directs his newest play with a cast from The Flea's resident acting company, The Bats.

?TUTA Theatre Chicago has announced complete casting for the Chicago premiere of THE EDGE OF OUR BODIES, by Adam Rapp (Red Light Winter, Blackbird, The Hallway Trilogy), directed by Artistic Director Jacqueline Stone (The Silent Language, The Anyway Cabaret), and featuring Carolyn Molloy (The Jewels, The Silent Language).

Route 66 Theatre Company, in association with the LA-based VS. Theatre Company, is pleased to announce the transfer of its hit Chicago production NO WAKE to Los Angeles. Written by William Donnelly and directed by Kimberly Senior, NO WAKE's West Coast premiere will play tonight, February 25, through March 19, 2016 at VS. Theatre Company, 5453 W. Pico Blvd. in Los Angeles. The press opening is Saturday, February 27 at 8 pm.

Atlantic Theater Company will present their Annual Gala on Monday, March 7, 2016 at The Pierre (2 East 61 Street). Actors' Choice will celebrate Atlantic's actors with a fabulous evening of unexpected songs, honoring David Richenthal and the Richenthal Foundation for their long-term support of Atlantic's mission.

Adam Rapp returns to The Flea with WOLF IN THE RIVER. Featuring members of The Bats, The Flea's resident acting company, WOLF IN THE RIVER is written and directed by Rapp. Previews start March 10, with opening night slated for Monday, March 21.

Due to demand, The New Group has announced a second extension for Sam Shepard's Buried Child, now playing through April 3. Originally set to play through March 13, an extension through Sunday, March 27 was recently announced for this limited Off-Broadway engagement. Directed by Scott Elliott, this production features Taissa Farmiga, Ed Harris,Amy Madigan, Larry Pine, Rich Sommer, Paul Sparks and Nat Wolff. The show just opened last night at The Pershing Square Signature Center (The Alice Griffin Jewel Box Theatre, 480 West 42nd Street) and BroadwayWorld was there. Check out photos below!

?THE PIECE PROJECT and VS. The Vilcek Foundation just announced the winners of its annual Vilcek Prizes, recognizing immigrant contributions to the American arts and sciences. The 2016 Vilcek Prize in Theatre, presented to an immigrant artist with a record of major achievement in his/her field, is awarded to Blanka Zizka, the recipient of a $100,000 prize.

'JUPITER (a play about power)' by Superhero Clubhouse and Kaimera Productions is an argument of soaring irony and logic between humanity and a dude with one-time magic who has made all fossil fuels disappear permanently from the Earth. That's not such an unbelievable premise, when you think about it, because in terms of our global history, we are on the brink of an energy systems overhaul. Some 'man at the switch' could at any time begin shutting our industrial civilization down. Oh, we'll be indignant then. Now imagine a philosophical debate between this overlord and a woman who represents all of humankind. That is the one-act 'dream play' that will be offered to us by playwright Jeremy Pickard, director Simon Adinia Hanukai and musician/energy policy specialist Jonathan Camuzeaux, presented by La Mama from February 11-28, 2016.

Niegel Smith, Artistic Director and Carol Ostrow, Producing Director of The Flea Theater announced today the slate for the spring season, featuring two World Premieres and one US Premiere. Continuing a long-standing relationship with The Flea, Adam Rapp will be returning with Wolf in the River, which he also directs. The Flea is also excited to welcome two new playwrights, Kristiana Colon and Sarah Gancher. Gancher's The Place We Built will be directed by Flea Resident Director Danya Taymor while Colon's but I cd only whisper will be directed by Resident Director David Monteagudo.
