Dick Latessa, Brenda Pressley, et al. Join Vinyard Theatre's THE LYONS

Tony Award winner Dick Latessa and actresses Kate Jennings Grant and Brenda Pressley have joined the cast of Nicky Silver's play THE LYONS, being given its world-premiere this fall with previews beginning September 21 prior to an official opening night October 11 at Vineyard Theatre (108 E. 15 St.), it has been announced by Vineyard Theatre artistic director Douglas Aibel and co-artistic director Sarah Stern.

Sigourney Weaver & Tom Wopat Honor 9/11 With THE GUYS for FDNY

To commemorate the 10th anniversary of 9/11, The Flea Theater (Jim Simpson, Artistic Director; Carol Ostrow, Producing Director) will present special performances of Anne Nelson's THE GUYS at various venues in Lower Manhattan including the Museum of Jewish Heritage (for the FDNY) and Goldman Sachs.

HotelMotel runs Off-Broadway from August 4 - 29, 2011 at The Gershwin Hotel, located at 7 East 27 Street between Madison & Fifth Avenues in New York City. Previews began August 4 for an August 10 opening.

Justin Bartha Joins Jesse Eisenberg's ASUNCION Off-Broadway

According to the LA Times, stage and screen star Justin Bartha has signed on to star in Jesse Eisenberg's new off-Broadway play Asuncion. Bartha will play 'Vinny, a progressive academic and roommate of left-wing blogger Edgar (Eisenberg), who's thrown for a loop when a Filipino roommate moves in.' The duo last worked together in the 2010 independent film 'Holy Rollers.'

Anthony Rapp, Julia Murney, et al. Set for FREE TO DREAM Concert Tonight & Tomorrow

This summer, Broadway actors Darlene Love, Julia Murney, Anthony Rapp and Matt Dengler star in 'Free to Dream: New Songs for the American Journey,' a concert specially adapted for Colonial Williamsburg. Television personality Willard Scott also lends his recorded voice to the program, which showcases the people and places that make up the fabric of America with musical styles from country, rock and pop to swing and the blues. It is a compilation of pieces by Grammy-winning composer Doug Katsaros and two-time Emmy-nominated lyricist William Schermerhorn. A nine-piece band accompanies the singers.
