The Martin E. Segal Theatre Center at the Graduate Center, CUNY has unveiled the artist lineup and program schedule for the highly anticipated PRELUDE.12, the ninth annual PRELUDE festival dedicated to artists at the forefront of contemporary New York City theatre, dance, interdisciplinary and mediatized performance. In its largest lineup ever, PRELUDE.12 will present over 40 short performances, readings, and screenings -as well as panel discussions with artists, scholars and performers.

The American Repertory Theater (A.R.T.) has announced the company for Obie Award-winning Taylor Mac's five part theatrical event The Lily's Revenge, directed by Shira Milikowsky, with music by Rachelle Garniez. The production begins previews on Friday, October 12, and runs through Sunday, October 28, with press opening on Sunday, October 14 at 2:00pm at OBERON, A.R.T.s second stage andclub theater venue.

48 solo singers are competing in the fifth annual "MetroStar Talent Challenge" at The Metropolitan Room, 34 West 22nd Street. The seven-week, jury-and audience-voted competition completes three weeks of trials next Monday July 23 (showtime at 7pm), after which the contest will announce the Top 18 contestants who will advance to the next round.

The Off Broadway Alliance, the organization of Off Broadway producers, theaters, general managers, press agents and marketing firms, presented the 2nd annual Off Broadway Alliance Awards Reception yesterday, June 19th at Sardi's. The awards honor outstanding achievement in Off Broadway theater for the 2011-2012 season. Honorees were on hand to receive their awards and Howard Kissel and Theodore Mann were posthumously inducted into the Off Broadway Hall of Fame.

The 2012 Drama Critics Circle aAards were presented at a cocktail reception last night, May 14, at Angus McIndoe Restaurant. Sons of the Prophet, written by Stephen Karam, won the New York Drama Critics' Circle Award (NYDCC) for Best Play of the 2011-2012 season. The New York Drama Critics' Circle met on May 7, 2012, at the offices of Time Out New York magazine, to determine the winners of its 77th annual awards.
