Lincoln Center Theater (under the direction of Andre Bishop) has announced that it will extend the run of J.T. Rogers' OLSO, winner of the 2017 Tony Award for Best Play, through Sunday, July 16 at the Vivian Beaumont Theater.
The American Theatre Wing (Heather Hitchens, President) and The Village Voice (Peter Barbey, Owner) are thrilled to announce the winners of the 62nd Annual Obie Awards®. Jennifer Kidwell & Scott R. Sheppard's Underground Railroad Game, produced by Ars Nova, and J.T. Roger's Oslo, produced by Lincoln Center Theater, shared the Obie Awards for Best New American Theatre Work, which is accompanied by a $500 prize each. Pulitzer Prize-winning playwright Paula Vogel received a special Obie Award for Lifetime Achievement. Obie and Screen Actors Guild® Award-winning actress Lea DeLaria returned as host of this year's ceremony, which was held at Webster Hall (125 East 11th Street). Lincoln Center Theater has announced an online ticket lottery for its production of the critically acclaimed J.T. Rogers' play OSLO, beginning with the play's first preview this Thursday, March 23 at 8pm at the Vivian Beaumont Theater (150 West 65th Street). As previously announced, the critically acclaimed Broadway production of Fiddler on the Roof will end its run on Saturday, December 31, 2016 at 2:00PM. This revival will have played a total of 463 performances when it gives its final bow. Just confirmed, a National Tour is planned beginning in the fall of 2018.
