MTV is launching an all-new animated comedy block this Thursday, October 27, with the premieres of Mike Judge's 'Beavis and Butt-Head' at 10:00 p.m., followed by new series from creator David Gordon Green, 'Good Vibes' at 10:30 p.m., featuring the voice talent of Adam Brody, Josh Gad, Danny McBride and Debi Mazar, among others.
'Good Vibes,' MTV's half-hour coming-of-age comedy, will follow transplanted Jersey boy Mondo (voiced by Josh Gad, who's appearing on Broadway in THE BOOK OF MORMON and made his Broadway debut in THE 25TH ANNUAL PUTNAM COUNTY SPELLING BEE) and his best bud Woodie (voiced by Adam Brody) as they surf the biggest waves, hit the wildest parties and chase the prettiest girls in Play Del Toro - a colorful California beach community.

MTV will add animation to its programming lineup with the premiere the new animated series 'Good Vibes.' This half-hour coming-of-age comedy will follow transplanted Jersey boy Mondo (voiced by Josh Gad) and his best bud Woodie (voiced by Adam Brody) as they surf the biggest waves, hit the wildest parties and chase the prettiest girls in Play Del Toro - a colorful California beach community. The all-star ensemble cast also features voice appearances by Debi Mazar as 'Babs' Mondo's mom, Alan Tudyk as 'Lonnie' a burnt-out but wise beach bum, Danny McBride as 'Ms. Teets' a massively overweight and inappropriate human sexuality teacher, Olivia Thirlby as 'Jeena' the beautiful girl of Mondo's dreams, Jake Busey as 'Turk' an obnoxious local surfer and bully, and Tony Hale as 'Wadska' a charmingly nerdy and delusional friend. The animated comedy is set to premiere in Fall 2011.
Production begins this week on Seeking a Friend for the End of the World, written and directed by Lorene Scafaria. The pre-apocalyptic comedy stars Golden Globe Award winner Steve Carell and Academy Award nominee Keira Knightley.

Anthony Bregman of Likely Story and Peter Saraf and Marc Turtletaub of Big Beach announced today that Hugh Dancy ('Confessions of a Shopaholic,' 'Adam'), Kathryn Hahn ('Revolutionary Road,' 'Step Brothers'), Academy Award-nominated actress Shirley Knight, and Janet Montgomery ('Black Swan'), have joined the cast of the Jesse Peretz directed, 'My Idiot Brother,' a comedy about family and the sacrifices it takes to deal with them.

Live from Radio City Music Hall, VMA icon Madonna opened the show and introduced the emotional and heartfelt tribute to Michael Jackson. Janet Jackson was joined onstage by the most renowned choreographers in the world and Michael's tour dancers, all of whom were influenced by the 'King of Pop,' for a memorable and high energy performance. To honor her brother and his illustrious career, the dancers recreated some of his most memorable music videos including 'Thriller,' 'Bad,' 'Smooth Criminal' and 'Scream.' The celebration received a standing ovation and set the tone for the most important evening in music and pop culture.
