Adam Bock's THE THUGS is now playing at the Red Eye Theater in Minneapolis and runs through October 25th. The play won Bock an Obie Award in 2006. Adam Bock's new play, THE FLOWERS, will make its world premiere at the About Face CHICAGO XYZ Festival. The show makes his official opening on October 23rd and will run through November 7th. The cast will include Caron Buinis, Merrina Millsapp, Bruch Reed, Benjamin Sprunger, Brian-Mark Conover and Kieran Kredell.

Among those taking part in the special event will be two-time Academy Award winner and two-time Obie Award winner Diane Wiest (Memory House at Playwrights Horizons/PH, Hannah and Her Sisters, Bullets Over Broadway), Tony Award winner Debra Monk (Assassins at PH, Redwood Curtain, Curtains), Obie Award winner Jason Butler Harner (current Stage Manager in Our Town, Hedda Gabler, The Coast of Utopia), Clarence Derwent Award winner Zoe Kazan (100 Saints You Should Know at PH; Come Back, Little Sheba; Things We Want), Theatre World Award winner Cassie Beck (The Drunken City and Prayer for My Enemy at PH), Cristin Milioti (The Retributionists at PH, the upcoming The Heart Is a Lonely Hunter), Sue Jean Kim (The Drunken City and BFE at PH, 365 Days/365 Plays), Carmen M. Herlihy (The Thugs, Crooked) and Greg Keller (Broadway's Uncle Vanya, The Rainmaker). Additional performers will be announced in the coming weeks.
Actress Megan Mullally, best known for her two-time Emmy Award winning role of Karen on Will & Grace, is also a versatile stage actress. Last year she co-starred on Broadway in Mel Brooks' musical version of Young Frankenstein and is currently treading the boards once more as Beverly in the controversial The Receptionist at the Odyssey Theatre, extended until November 21.
Odyssey Theatre's production of Adam Bock's The Receptionist, starring Emmy-winning actress and singer Megan Mullally, has announced an extension of its run. The production, which began previews August 5 and officially opened August 15, was originally scheduled to close September 20. The show will now close November 21.
