The Roundabout Theatre Company has announced the world premiere production of Bad Jews by Joshua Elias Harmon and directed by Daniel Aukin for the fall season. Bad Jews will begin preview performances on October 5, 2012 and will open officially on Tuesday, October 30, 2012. This is a limited engagement through December 16, 2012. All tickets for Roundabout Underground productions are $20.

Steep Theatre's 11th season continues on April 12th with the Midwest Premiere of The Receptionist, by Obie Award-winning playwright Adam Bock. Director and Steep Artistic Associate Joanie Schultz returns home to Steep to direct the production. Schultz's past collaborations with the company have earned numerous Jeff awards and nominations, including Steep Ensemble Member Caroline Neff's 2011 Jeff Award for Best Actress for A Brief History of Helen of Troy. Neff and Schultz are back at it again with The Receptionist.

Amphibian Stage Productions today announced casting for its first main stage production of the year, Mr. & Mrs. Fitch, written by Douglas Carter Beane. Colt Coeur's Play Hotel reading series will present a staged reading of Adam Bock's Marcy Comes Home on Tuesday, March 13th at 7pm at the CoCo Studio in NYC. Directed by Adrienne Campbell-Holt (Fish Eye, Seven Minutes in Heaven), the cast features Katya Campbell (Fish Eye), Erin Felgar (Bloody Bloody Andrew Jackson), Heidi Niedermeyer (Seven Minutes in Heaven), Gio Perez (The Language of Trees), Kate Cullen Roberts (Bloody Bloody Andrew Jackson), Debargo Sanyal (After), Matt Stadelmann (American Sligo, Seven Minutes in Heaven), and Joe Tippett (Fish Eye).

SUMMERWORKS 2012 -- the annual season of new plays presented the Obie Award-winning theater company Clubbed Thumb -- is set for its 17th season May 26 to June 30 at the HERE Arts Center (145 Sixth Ave. at Dominick Street) in Manhattan, it has been announced by Maria Striar, Clubbed Thumb's Producing Artistic Director.

As previously reported, the Tony Award's Administration Committee has announced that Theatre Development Fund's Open Doors program will be among those honored with a special 2012 Tony Honor for Excellence in the Theatre.
