Rattlestick Playwrights Theatre Presents World Premiere of BLIND, Previews 2/17

Rattlestick Playwrights Theater continues its 15th anniversary season with the world premiere of Blind, by Craig Wright (The Pavilion, Lady). Directed by Lucie Tiberghein (The Pavilion, Geometry of Fire), performances begin Wednesday, February 17th, 2010. Opening night is Thursday, February 25th at 7pm. The show is scheduled to run through Sunday, March 21st, 2010.

Nunya Productions Presents U.S. DRAG At American Theatre of Actors' Sargent Theatre

Nunya Productions announced today that it will present Gina Gionfriddo's acclaimed, prize-winning play U.S. DRAG. The production will be the inaugural outing for the newly-formed theater company. Performances are set to begin on January 27 at American Theatre of Actors' Sargent Theatre (314 W. 54th Street).

KC Rep Presents Production of Lookingglass Theatre’s AROUND THE WORLD IN 80 DAYS, 1/22-2/14

Following the extraordinary success of its world premiere of A Christmas Story, The Musical! and Moises Kaufman's direction of Into the Woods, Kansas City Rep continues its season of high-voltage productions with Lookingglass Theatre's presentation of Around the World in 80 Days, Jules Verne's classic novel of adventure and intrigue, written and directed by Laura Eason and staged by Heidi Stillman. The show comes to life at the Rep's Spencer Theatre January 22-February 14.

The Lost Studio Presents the American Premiere of Alan Ayckbourn's CONFUSIONS, 1/15-3/7

A matchless quintet of interlinked plays by Britain's best-loved comic playwright, illustrates the hilarious consequences of not listening to one another.  Ayckbourn's overlapping characters are alternately naturalistic and farcical - quirky, neurotic, self-important, and hysterical.  Whether the comedy concerns marital conflict, infidelity, motherhood, or manhood; is set on a park bench or at a village fete, the characters reveal a LOL timeless familiarity in their desperation to make contact with one another. Ayckbourn's American premiere of 'Confusions' will be staged by the Lost Studio from January 15 - March 7, 2010 in Los Angeles.

Burning Coal Holds Viewpoints Workshop In February

Segal, Orsekes, Cummings et al. Complete Cast for Broadway's THE MIRACLE WORKER

Producers David Richenthal, Eric Falkenstein and Randall Wreghitt have announced that Tobias Segal, Daniel Orsekes, Michael Cummings, Simone Joy Jones, Yvette Ganier and Lance Chantiles-Wertz complete the cast of the first revival of William Gibson's THE MIRACLE WORKER as the Tony Award® winning play celebrates its 50th Anniversary of opening on Broadway.

DISTRACTED Makes Chicago Premiere At American Theatre Co 1/28/2010

American Theater Company (ATC) continues its 25th anniversary season with the Chicago premiere of Distracted, written by Lisa Loomer. The production is directed by Artistic Director PJ Paparelli and will run January 28 - February 28, 2010 at American Theater Company, 1909 W. Byron Street, Chicago. Carpenter and Grassle Lead Aurora Theatre's JOHN GABRIEL BORKMAN, 4/8-5/9

Aurora Theatre Company continues its 18th season with Henrik Ibsen's rarely-produced masterwork JOHN GABRIEL BORKMAN, in a new version by David Eldridge. Aurora Theatre Company founding Artistic Director Barbara Oliver, who directed the company's hit production of Ibsen's The Master Builder, returns to helm this fiercely relevant drama, featuring Bay Area stage veteran James Carpenter (The Master Builder) in the title role, and stage and television actress Karen Grassle (Little House on the Prairie) in her Aurora debut.
