Arizona Theatre Company Presents THE MYSTERY OF IRMA VEP, 4/9-30

Vampires, and mummies, and werewolves...oh my! Back by popular demand, Arizona Theatre Company promises an evening of outrageous fun and wonderful entertainment with the hilarious quick-change horror spoof THE MYSTERY OF IRMA VEP as the grand finale of its 2010-2011 Season.

CANDIDA Opens At Two River Theater Co Begins 3/22

Two River Theater Company, under the leadership of Artistic Director John Dias, continues its season with George Bernard Shaw's classic Candida, directed by David Staller. Performances will begin at Two River Theater, 21 Bridge Avenue, on Tuesday, March 22 and continue through Sunday, April 10.

THE IMPORTANCE OF BEING EARNEST Welcomes Murray, Houdyshell, Austrian

Roundabout Theatre Company has announced that Brian Murray, Jayne Houdyshell and Jessie Austrian will join the critically acclaimed Broadway production of Oscar Wilde's comedy The Importance of Being Earnest, directed by and starring Brian Bedford as 'Lady Bracknell,' at the American Airlines Theatre on Broadway.

New Rep Presents DOLLHOUSE, Closes 3/20

New Repertory Theatre, in residence at the Arsenal Center for the Arts, is pleased to announce DollHouse, a drama by playwright Theresa Rebeck, based on Henrik Ibsen's A Doll's House.

Cori Thomas Wins M. Elizabeth Osborn New Play Award for WHEN JANUARY FEELS LIKE SUMMER

Cori Thomas has won ATCA's 2011 M. Elizabeth Osborn New Play Award for an emerging playwright. The award recognizes Thomas' When January Feels Like Summer, which premiered in March 2010 at City Theatre in Pittsburgh. The Osborn Award is designed to recognize the work of an author who has not yet achieved national stature - e.g., has not had a significant New York production or been staged widely in regional theaters. Last year's award went to Jason Wells for Perfect Mendacity; previous winners included Rebecca Gilman and Keith Glover. The 2011 award will be presented April 2 at the Humana Festival at Actors Theatre of Louisville.

Northlight Theatre Presents Sense & Sensibility, Opening 3/19

Northlight Theatre, under the direction of Artistic Director BJ Jones and Executive Director Timothy J. Evans, presents the World premiere of Sense & Sensibility written and directed by Jon Jory, adapted from the novel by Jane Austen. Sense & Sensibility runs March 10-April 17, 2011. The press opening is March 19, 2011.

New Musical AND THE CURTAIN RISES Opens at Signature 3/17

Virginia's Tony Award®-winning Signature Theatre has announced the artistic team behind the upcoming world premiere of the musical comedy And the Curtain Rises (formerly known as Wheatley's Folly), which begins performances on Thursday, March 17, 2011. And the Curtain Rises marks the third production presented as part of Signature's groundbreaking American Musical Voices Project, the largest commissioning program for new musicals in the country, following Michael John LaChiusa's Giant in 2009 and Ricky Ian Gordon's Sycamore Trees last year.

Catalyst Collaborative@MIT Presents Breaking the Code At Central Square

Catalyst Collaborative@MIT, a science theater collaboration between MIT and Underground Railway Theater, presents Hugh Whitemore's BREAKING THE CODE, an elegant, deeply moving portrait of mathematician Alan Turning, played by Allyn Burrows and directed by Adam Zahler. The Ruckus Brings a Workshop Staged Reading of SU SESSIZ, 3/13-15

The Ruckus Theater is making some noise with its upcoming workshop staged-reading of Su Sessiz (Calm Water) by Ruckus company member Timo Aker, directed by Katie Canavan. The workshop features a cast of four and continues The Ruckus commitment to the development of new work and emerging playwrights by providing dramaturgical assistance and an audience's perspective on a new play.

Chris Clavelli In 'A Little More Than You Wanted To Spend' At Florida Rep

Florida Repertory Theatre presents A Little More Than You Wanted to Spend, a new play written and performed by Florida Rep Associate Artistic Director, Chris Clavelli. Spend is a one-man tour-de-force that leads the audience down a harrowing, darkly hysterical journey of despair and spiritual triumph, playing in the Florida Rep Studio Theatre on March 20 and 21 at 8pm. Dennis Cunningham of CBS News called A Little More Than You Wanted to Spend 'a riveting human experience played out in an amazing performance by the urgent and compelling Chris Clavelli.'
