Upcoming Theatre Communication Group Member Shows - 2/27 for Louisville

A haunting American classic, THE TRIP TO BOUNTIFUL marks the first Cleveland Play House production of a work by Pulitzer Prize- and Academy Award-winner Horton Foote, and the world-premiere performance of this play by an African-American cast. Receiving the blessing of Hallie Foote, daughter of the playwright, this co-production with Round House Theatre is helmed by Timothy Douglas and stars preeminent African-American actress Lizan Mitchell as Carrie Watts. THE TRIP TO BOUNTIFUL begins in the Drury Theatre at Cleveland Play House on Friday, February 4 and runs through Sunday, February 27, 2011. Artistic Director Marc Masterson and Managing Director Jennifer Bielstein today announced the addition of Peter Sinn Nachtrieb's latest play, Bob to the 35th Anniversary Humana Festival lineup at Actors Theatre of Louisville.

This spring Arizona Theatre Company journeys to the New York boroughs and into Neil Simon's masterwork, LOST IN YONKERS, the fourth installment of ATC's AMERICA PLAYS! Celebrating Great American Stories series. Winner of the Pulitzer Prize and the Tony Award for Best Play, LOST IN YONKERS is as funny as it is poignant and is certain to leave you spellbound with laughter and tears. Featuring Tony Award-winner and Arizona favorite Judy Kaye, and directed by Samantha K. Wyer, LOST IN YONKERS plays in Tucson at the Temple of Music and Art from February 26 through March 19, 2011. It continues its run in Phoenix at the Herberger Theater Center from March 24 through April 10, 2011. Roundabout Theatre Company has announced that Brian Murray, Jayne Houdyshell and Jessie Austrian will join the critically acclaimed Broadway production of Oscar Wilde's comedy The Importance of Being Earnest, directed by and starring Brian Bedford as 'Lady Bracknell,' at the American Airlines Theatre on Broadway.

Court Theatre continues its 56th season with Sarah Ruhl's adaptation of Virginia Woolf's Orlando, directed by Jessica Thebus. The production will run March 10 - April 10, 2011 at Court Theatre, 5535 S. Ellis Avenue.

Executive Producer Lou Spisto today announced the complete cast and creative team for Ian Bruce's Groundswell, a psychological drama set in South Africa. Directed by Kyle Donnelly, Groundswell will run in the Sheryl and Harvey White Theatre March 12 - April 17. Preview performances run March 12 - March 16. Artistic Director Sean Murray is proud to announce Cygnet Theatre's very first World Premiere - acclaimed writer Stephen Metcalfe's THE TRAGEDY OF THE COMMONS.

Victory Gardens continues its 2010/11 Season with the world premiere of The Boys Room by Ensemble Playwright Joel Drake Johnson, directed by Associate Artistic Director Sandy Shinner. The Boys Room marks Shinner and Johnson's sixth collaboration-A Guide For The Perplexed, Four Places, The End of the Tour, Before My Eyes, all at Victory Gardens, and Tranquillity Woods for Steppenwolf's First Look series. The production runs January 21 - February 20, 2011 at the Victory Gardens Biograph Theater, 2433 N. Lincoln Avenue in Lincoln Park. The Press Opening is Monday, January 31, 2011, at 7:30 pm.

Jennifer Carpenter is best known for her TV role as Debra Morgan on Dexter. She has also graced the big screen as Emily Rose in The Exorcism of Emily Rose, and as the lead role in the 2008 horror movie Quarantine.
