Victory Gardens Adds Three Performances of APPROPRIATE, 12/12-14

By popular demand, Victory Gardens Theater adds three performances of its Co-World Premiere of Appropriate by Branden Jacobs-Jenkins, directed by Gary Griffin. The additional performances are December 12 and 13 at 7:30pm and December 14 at 4pm at Victory Gardens Theatre, 2433 N. Lincoln Avenue. Appropriate is presented in association with Actors Theatre of Louisville and was developed, in part, by IGNITION 2012.

Burning Coal Theatre Company to Present (THREE MAN) TEMPEST, 12/5-22

Burning Coal Theatre Company will present (Three Man) Tempest by William Shakespeare, adapted and directed by Randolph Curtis Rand, December 5 - 22, 2013. The production runs Thursdays through Saturdays, December 5 - 7, 12 - 14 and 19 - 21 at 7:30 pm and Sundays, December 8, 15 and 22 at 2 pm. All tickets are $25, or $20 for seniors (65+) and $15 for students. All Thursday evening tickets are $15. David Whalen & Justin R.G. Holcomb to Lead PICT's THE CRUCIFER OF BLOOD; Cast Announced

PICT Theatre's final production of the season is the Pittsburgh premiere of Paul Giovanni's The Crucifer of Blood, a Sherlock Holmes adventure featuring characters created by Sir Arthur Conan Doyle. Matt Torney directs. David Whalen returns to reprise the role of Sherlock Holmes since his 2011 turn as the master detective. Also returning from the 2011 production is Daryll Heysham as Inspector Lestrade. Justin R. G. Holcomb makes his PICT debut as Dr. Watson.

A CHRISTMAS STORY to Return in All-New Cleveland Play House Production, 11/29-12/22

The Old Globe presents The Old Globe/University of San Diego Graduate Theatre Program presentation of William Shakespeare's Much Ado About Nothing, running tonight, Nov. 9 - Nov. 17 in the Sheryl and Harvey White Theatre, part of the Globe's Conrad Prebys Theatre Center. Opening night is tonight, Nov. 9 at 8:00 p.m.

Lookingglass Theatre to Present THE LITTLE PRINCE, 12/5-2/2

Continuing its 26th Season, Lookingglass Theatre Company presents The Little Prince, produced in Association with The Actors Gymnasium, by Rick Cummins and John Scoullar, based on the book by Antoine de Saint-Exupery, and directed by Ensemble Member David Catlin. The Little Prince runs December 5, 2013 - February 2, 2014 at Lookingglass Theatre Company, located inside Chicago's historic Water Tower Water Works, 821 N. Michigan Ave. at Pearson. The Press Opening is Saturday, December 14, 2013 at 7:30 p.m.

Theatre of Note to Present THE INVISIBLE PLAY, 11/22-12/21

Theatre of NOTE completes its 2013 season with the West Coast premiere of THE INVISIBLE PLAY written by Alex Dremann and directed by Amanda Weier. THE INVISIBLE PLAY will preview Friday, November 22nd and Saturday, November 23rd, and will open on Friday, December 6th at 8pm and run through Saturday, December 21st at Theatre of NOTE, 1517 N. Cahuenga Blvd (just north of Sunset) in Hollywood.

Princess Grace Foundation Honors Tony Winner Cicely Tyson Tonight

UW School of Drama's Valerie Curtis-Newton Directs Lanford Wilson's 'Fifth of July'

University of Washington faculty member Valerie Curtis-Newton, Head of MFA Performance and Directing, directs the second-year Professional Actor Training Program (PATP) students as they tackle the complex characters of Lanford Wilson's Fifth of July. This is the second show in the 2013-2014 season and it offers the School of Drama students an opportunity to experience the challenges associated with taking on meaty ensemble acting roles.

STICK FLY Set for Arden Theatre, Now thru Dec 22

Arden Theatre Company continues its 26th season of great stories with Stick Fly by Lydia R. Diamond under the direction of Walter Dallas. The production appears on the Arden's Arcadia Stage from tonight, October 24 through December 22, 2013 at 40 N. 2nd Street in Philadelphia.

TWELFTH NIGHT Star Stephen Fry to Guest on THE COLBERT REPORT, 10/24

Stephen Fry, who is making his Broadway acting debut as Malvolio in the critically acclaimed Shakespeare's Globe production of TWELFTH NIGHT, will be a guest on 'The Colbert Report' on Thursday, October 24. 'The Colbert Report' airs at 11:30 PM ET on Comedy Central, 10:30 PM Central.

True Colors Theatre to Present Atlanta Premiere of RACE, 2/25-3/23
