Amazon Casts Two of Its ZOMBIELAND Leads

Amazon has officially cast two of the apolypse surviving-zombie hunters for its upcoming ZOMBIELAND series. According to Deadline, Sundance star Tyler Ross, who recently appeared in MILKSHAKES, has landed the role of 'Columbus,' originally played by Jesse Eisenberg in the 2009 film, who will narrate the series. Abigail Breslin's character, 'Little Rock,' has gone to showbiz newcomer Izabela Vidovic.

Hyde Park-Image Nation, Troika Pictures and Merced Media Partners have announced that they will finance and produce the thriller CAREFUL WHAT YOU WISH FOR. The film, to be directed by Elizabeth Allen ("Ramona and Beezus," "Aquamarine"), was written by Chris Frisina and will star Isabel Lucas ("Transformer 2," "Immortals").

Dermot Mulroney Signs on for AUGUST: OSAGE COUNTY Film

As first reported on Deadline.com, Dermot Mulroney has joined the cast of the big screen adaptation of Tracy Letts' AUGUST: OSAGE COUNTY as 'Steve.' The actor joins previously announced cast members Meryl Streep, Julia Roberts, Abigail Breslin, Juliette Lewis, Margo Martindale and Chris Cooper.

Deadline.com reports that Abigail Breslin is set to star in the upcoming thriller FINAL GIRL, from Nasser Entertainment and Prospect Park.

Viola Davis and More Honored at Trinity Rep's Pell Awards Tonight, 5/21

Trinity Repertory Company previously announced that Rhode Island's own Academy Award-nominated actress, Viola Davis, would be honored with the 2012 Pell Award for Lifetime Achievement in the Arts at the 16th annual Pell Awards. Theater educator Elaine Foster Perry will receive the Charles Sullivan Award for Distinguished Service in the Arts, Brown University President Ruth J. Simmons will receive the Pell Award For Leadership in Arts Education, and J.L. "Lynn" Singleton, President of the Providence Performing Arts Center and Professional Facilities Management, will be honored as the recipient of the Pell Award for Outstanding Leadership in the Arts. All awardees are past or current Rhode Islanders.

The Actors Studio Drama School at Pace University Announces 2012 Season
