Like the name suggests, The Tennessee Williams Theatre Company draws its theatrical productions from the evocative catalog of Southern playwright Tennessee Williams. Currently, the company is presenting three rarely performed one-acts from the latter part of Williams' epic career.
The Tennessee Williams Theatre Company of New Orleans is flying to new heights with Dangerous Birds (If Agitated), opening November 4th uptown at Phillips Bar. The vast outdoor patio of the neighborhood institution will be the staging area for three outrageous short comedies by Tennessee Williams tied together as an ornithology lesson by Burlesque staple Bunny Love. Theatre-goers will be able to enjoy show-themed cocktails while they watch the capers unfurl in this patio-turned-"atrium" where anything can happen-and will!
Ok, so maybe the title of this article is only halfway true. Rivertown Theaters for the Performing Arts ended a successful run of the musical comedy HOW TO SUCCEED IN BUSINESS WITHOUT REALLY TRYING successfully... except it's obvious they tried really hard. And the hard work paid off!
