Amid concerts and events this summer at the Hollywood Bowl, a production of Jonathan Larson's Tony-winning RENT is set to run three performances at the Bowl from August 6 through August 8, 2010. The cast for this production will be announced at a later date.

RENT, written by Jonathan Larson, will be performed at the Hollywood Bowl for three performances only, Friday and Saturday August 6 and 7 at 8:30pm, and Sunday August 8 at 7:30pm. Neil Patrick Harris will direct the production, with musical direction by Tim Weil and choreography by Jamal Sims. The cast includes Skylar Astin, Wayne Brady, Vanessa Hudgens, Telly Leung, Collins Pennie, Nicole Scherzinger, Tracie Thoms, and Aaron Tveit.

In celebration of the highly anticipated BROADWAY BARES: STRIP-OPOLY on Sunday, June 20, series creator Jerry Mitchell was the featured guest on Seth's Broadway Chatterbox on Thursday, June 17th, at 6:00 PM.
While there, Mitchell talked about all of his current slate of projects. Among them, Mitchell has just redone the opening number of LOVE NEVER DIES, featuring bearded ladies and other 'freaks' with a new song while making other trims throughout the show.
The highly-anticipated CATCH ME IF YOU CAN will have a reading next week with 'amazing' new material and the same leads that played the show from Seattle (Kerry Butler, Norbert Leo Butz, Aaoron Tveit and Tom Wopat). The chorus has been expanded from 4 girls to 10 amongst other changes. The show is prepping for January rehearsals for a Broadway bow.

The Producers of Broadway's most acclaimed new musical, Next to Normal, announced today that a National Tour will launch in Los Angeles in November 2010. Performances at the Center Theatre GroupAhmanson Theatre will begin November 23 and run through January 2.
