According to TVLine, Jane Fonda has joined the cast of Aaron Sorkin's new HBO series- 'Newsroom.' Fonda joins previously announced Jeff Daniels, Sam Waterston, John Gallagher Jr., Thomas Sadowski and Olivia Munn. Fonda will play Leona Lansing, 'the CEO of cable news network's parent company.'

According to TVNewsere.com, HBO has announced that Aaron Sorkin's upcoming series about a Cable News station will be called NEWSROOM. Sorkin, best known for creating the NBC hit drama 'The West Wing', has written the series which centers around a fictional cable news station called 'UBS'.

The Pasadena Playhouse (Sheldon Epps, Artistic Director and Stephen Eich, Executive Director) announced the full cast and creative team for ART at The Pasadena Playhouse. ART, by Yasmina Reza stars Bradley Whitford, Michael O'Keefe and Roger Bart and will be directed by nine-time Emmy Award-winner David Lee. The production will perform January 24 - February 19 , with the official press opening on January 29, 2012.

First produced on Broadway in 1989, this military masterpiece of courtroom theatre highlights the unique culture and code of honor within the military. Two Marines are being tried for their alleged involvement in the death of a fellow Marine at Guantanamo Bay.

So it was with some trepidation - and more than a little wariness - that I approached a new production of A Few Good Men, now onstage through October 15, at Lakewood Theatre Company in Old Hickory. While the physical realities of Lakewood's venue preclude any such staging innovations as employed by Whatley, what you are treated to instead is a sharply focused and superbly acted production of Sorkin's seminal dramatic work. As one of the area's most successful community theater companies, Lakewood has consistently performed to capacity crowds, drawing actors from throughout the region.
