HBO/Cinemax has released the 2012-13 programming overview.

The national tour of The Addams Family, a new musical based on the bizarre and beloved family of characters created by legendary cartoonist Charles Addams, will make its Pennsylvania premiere in Pittsburgh tonight, July 31 and play through Sunday, August 12, 2012, at the Benedum Center as part of the Pittsburgh CLO summer season and PNC Broadway Across America-Pittsburgh 2011-12 series.

According to The Hollywood Reporter, Aaron Sorkin is planning to overhaul the current writing staff of HBO's new drama series, NEWSROOM. The showrunner will reportedly replace the majority of the writing staff before the second season returns.

It's just been announced that this fall, two-time Tony Award winner AL PACINO will be joined on stage by Tony nominee DAVID HARBOUR, Emmy Award winner RICHARD SCHIFF and Tony nominee JEREMY SHAMOS in the Broadway revival of DAVID MAMET'S acclaimed Pulitzer Prize-winning drama GLENGARRY GLEN ROSS. As previously announced, Tony Award nominee BOBBY CANNAVALE has been cast in the role of Richard "Ricky" Roma.

SINGIN' IN THE RAIN will receive it's first ever Blu-Ray release on Tuesday, July 17th. To commemorate this event, we're looking at why this film is still a crowd favorite 60 years later.

According to the Hollywood Reporter, HBO has officially picked up Aaron Sorkin's 'The Newsroom' for a second season. The series, which premiered on June 24, airs Sunday nights at 10pm. Additionally, the network has also renewed 'True Blood' for a sixth season.

2nd Story Theatre has scheduled additional performances of Aaron Sorkin's military masterpiece, A Few Good Men, due to a sell out of the regular run. The production, directed by Bryna Wortman, is playing to standing room only crowds at the historic Bristol Statehouse, 240 High Street, Bristol.

As BroadwayWorld previously reoprted, Hugh Jackman will return to Broadway during the 2013/2014 season starring as America's greatest showman in HOUDINI, an original musical, with a libretto by Academy Award and six-time Emmy Award winner Aaron Sorkin. He commented: 'Work on Houdini has been underway for a while, with Stephen Schwartz and I meeting regularly - either in New York or L.A. - to map out the show we're doing (also not a biography), move index cards around a board, listen to first drafts of songs and read first drafts of scenes.'
