Bron Animation has added Maya Rudolph, Terry Crews, Martin Short, Jane Krakowski and Sean Cullen to the cast of its production of The Willoughbys, based on the popular children's book of the same name by Newbery® Award winning author Lois Lowry, it was announced today by Bron Animation President Brenda Gilbert.

Chris Evans will head a star studded ensemble cast in writer/director Gideon Raff's THE RED SEA DIVING RESORT, it was announced by producers Aaron L. Gilbert of Bron Studios and Alexandra Milchan of EMJAG Productions.

Bron Animation has signed Ricky Gervais (Special Correspondents, “The Office,” “Derek”) to narrate its production of THE WILLOUGHBYS, based on the popular children's book of the same name by Newbery® Award winning author Lois Lowry

Bron Creative will executive produce and co-finance THE NIGHTINGALE, a period thriller written and directed by Jennifer Kent, who previously wrote and directed the acclaimed feature The Babadook.  Made Up Stories, together with major production investment from Screen Australia, and in association with the Tasmanian Government through Screen Tasmania, and the South Australian Film Corporation will co-finance the picture as well. THE NIGHTINGALE will begin production in March in Tasmania, Australia.

Bron Media Corp.'s genre label The Realm will produce the sci-fi thriller PARALLEL in association with Creative Wealth Media. The film, to be directed by Isaac Ezban from a screenplay by Scott Blaszak, will begin production mid-November in Vancouver.

BEATRIZ AT DINNER, the Bron Studios and Killer Films production staring Salma Hayek and John Lithgow, has begun production in Los Angeles, with Miguel Arteta directing from a screenplay by Mike White.

 Nate Parker and the cast, Producers, and Executive Producers of The Birth of a Nation are investing in the next generation of diverse independent creativity with the Sundance Institute | The Birth of a Nation Fellowship for 18-to-24-year-old filmmakers participating in the Institute's Ignite program. Parker shared details at Sundance Institute's NIGHT BEFORE NEXT benefit at The Theatre at Ace Hotel in downtown Los Angeles this evening, where he also received the Institute's annual Vanguard Award presented to him by actor and Sundance alum Michael B. Jordan. Parker's The Birth of a Nation was supported by the Institute's renowned Feature Film Program for three years before its premiere, and won both the Audience Award and Grand Jury Prize at the 2016 Sundance Film Festival.

Bron Studios has come on board to co-produce and finance TULLY, the latest from Oscar nominated director Jason Reitman and Oscar winning screenwriter Diablo Cody, it was announced today by Aaron L. Gilbert, Bron's managing director. The film, to start production in late summer in Vancouver, will star Oscar winner Charlize Theron.

Gilbert.  Principal photography began on Wednesday, January 13 in New York City.

Following its premiere at Tribeca Film Festival, Cinedigm (CIDM) has acquired all North American distribution rights to MEADOWLAND, a beautiful, haunting depiction of the psychological toll that a tragedy takes on a New York couple. Driven by a powerful, career-high performance by Olivia Wilde (Her; Drinking Buddies; Rush), the film also features Luke Wilson (Ride; Skeleton Twins; Anchorman; The Family Stone), Elisabeth Moss (Mad Men, Listen Up Philip; The One I Love; Get Him To The Greek), Giovanni Ribisi (Results; Selma; Public Enemies; A Million Way To Die In The West), Ty Simpkins (Jurassic World, Iron Man 3, Insidious) and John Leguizamo (Chef; Ride Along; John Wick; American Ultra). The script was written by Chris Rossi, and features a score by Adam Taylor (August: Osage County).

The Hollywood Reporter reports that Bron Studios has announced their first ever super-hero, animated feature HENCHMEN, which will star the voices of James Marsden and Thomas Middleditch as well as Rosario Dawson, Alfred Molina, Nathan Fillion, Jane Krakowski, Rob Riggle, Craig Robinson and Will Lawson.

Special Correspondents, a new original feature film written and directed by Ricky Gervais and starring Eric Bana (Deliver Us From Evil, Lone Survivor) and Gervais (Muppets Most Wanted, Derek), will debut worldwide on Netflix next year.
