The first season of THE X FACTOR came to a spectacular conclusion tonight as Melanie Amaro was crowned the winner during a sensational live two-hour season finale on FOX. Host Steve Jones revealed that after the votes were cast, Amaro had bested runner-up Josh Krajcik and second runner-up Chris Rene. Amaro, 19, who was mentored by Judge Simon Cowell, emerged as America's choice and capped her coronation on Thursday's finale by singing 'Listen.'

The next season will continue to follow actress and TV personality La La Anthony and her husband, NBA Forward Carmelo Anthony, as they adjust to living in the spotlight in New York City following his trade from the Denver Nuggets to the New York Knicks.
MTV2 has announced the headlining acts performing at the SUCKER FREE AWARDS. Four-time Grammy Award winner, Lil Wayne, nominated for both 'Artist of the Year' and 'Classic Album' categories, will hit the Sucker Free Stage with YMCMB head honcho Birdman to set the stage ablaze with a performance of the new single Why U Mad from Birdman's upcoming album Bigga Than Life.
On Friday, Jonny Reno's will have Meet & Greet Community Welcome for the Women's Running Magazine Half Marathon from 4 to 9pm with a free Happy Hour Buffet and Live Music with Melissa Brethauer from 8-11pm.
