Women's Project Theater, under the leadership of newly-appointed Producing Artistic Director Lisa McNulty, presents the World Premiere of BRIGHT HALF LIFE - a new play by Pulitzer Prize nominee Tanya Barfield and directed by Tony Award nominee Leigh Silverman - in a five-week limited engagement at New York City Center Stage II (131 W. 55th Street) now through March 22, 2015. The new American musical Hands on a Hardbody just celebrated opening night last night, March 21, at Broadway's Brooks AtkinsonTheatre (256 West 47th Street). The cast and creative team gathered at the Roseland Ballroom with their real-life counterparts from the documentary on which the musical is based. Producer Scott Sanders has announced additional cast members for the upcoming Broadway engagement of the highly anticipated stage play, The Pee-wee Herman Show.

The New York Musical Theatre Festival and Mass Street Productions and Ryan J. Davis have welcomed Bay Bridge Productions, Chris Bensinger, and Deborah Taylor to the Street Lights team of producers. Street Lights is a contemporary musical drama by Joe Drymala featuring a groundbreaking score that uses modern hip hop, R&B, and pop to tell a story in the musical language of today's youth, while creating a bridge to earlier generations by incorporating samples of old civil rights anthems within the modern songs and beats.

Cry-Baby, starring James Snyder and Elizabeth Stanley, opened on April 24th at the Marquis Theatre.

Planet Hollywood threw a Tony Awards after-party for the casts of Spamalot, Glengarry Glen Ross, The Pillowman, and Democracy and BroadwayWorld was there!
