RICHARD II reimagined as a Westminster power struggle was staged in the House of Commons last night on the 400th anniversary of Shakespeare's death. It was the first-ever performance of a Shakespeare play in the Palace of Westminster, and celebrated four centuries of the writer at the centre of Britain's national culture, in the centre of its national politics.
