CELLBLOCK I & CELLBLOCK II Exhibitions Postponed at Andrea Rosen Gallery


Andrea Rosen Gallery will be postponing the opening of its Cellblock I & Cellblock II exhibition, curated by Robert Hobbs, that was scheduled to open on November 3rd. At this stage, the gallery is hopeful to be back open in approximately two-to-three weeks' time. The gallery will send an updated announcement as it learns more information. In the meantime, Andrea Rosen Gallery's thoughts and best wishes go out to all who have been affected by the storm.

Andrea Rosen Gallery has announced Cellblock I and Cellblock II, two group exhibitions - both curated by Robert Hobbs -that are intertwined yet distinctly separate in their intention. Bancroft, Carlo Bronzini Vender, Etta Froio, Dorothy Lichtenstein, Michele Pesner, Douglas Polley, Frederic M. Seegal, Marcia Dunn Sobel, and Alexandra Stanton.

For Law of the Jungle, Carneiro da Cunha has selected a diverse group of artists from contemporary to outsider, both established and emerging, for a thematic exhibition based on ideas of survival: personal and collective survival, as well as the survival of the artistic practice at large. Carneiro da Cunha proposes a selection of works by artists from Brazil, Bali, the UK and beyond, in which Darwin's theory of 'survival of the fittest' and the endangered livelihood of the artistic practice itself is conveyed.
