BIO
owner/editor of world-theatres.com, the web's greatest theatre research site, not only those current and bookable, but those abandoned or demolished over time, including year, location, seating capacity and major productions--site is used by actors, drama teachers, drama students, seniors; it is a labour of love and no money exchanges hands; I have always been an avid theatre fan and have attended performances throughout the world, have had the privilege of seeing most major talents on stage, from Alred and Lynne Fontanne, Katharine Hepburn, Julie Harris, Katharine Dunham, Ethel Waters, Pearl Bailey, etc. etc. My first play was a dress rehearsal of Streetcar Named Desire at the Red Barn Theatre, Jackson's Point, Ontario, the oldest barn theatre in North America until it burned down. My interests have never been to appear on stage, but more interested in theatre buildings, and their history. I also have a blog on theatre in Toronto.
My education has always been in the education field, attended Toronto Teachers College, taught in the Toronto public school system, worked in sales promotion for Canada Life Assurance and Shell Canada, with a partner started Cine Books, Toronto's first film book store, started two other businesses, again with a partner, Decoraccessories, and Dear Friends.
Now retired and editor of world-theatres.com
