Lauren Hoffmeier was most recently seen playing the role of the Wife in the New York premier of Seymour Barab's "Out the Window"! Some of Lauren’s favorite credits are Cleo in the critically acclaimed New York revival of The Most Happy Fella!, Fantine in Les Miserables, and Nancy in the NYMF production of "Somewhere With You". Lauren earned her B.F.A. from Boston University.

New York City Opera will return to Bryant Park this weekend for its fourth season of operas as the centerpiece of Bank of America’s Bryant Park Picnic Performance series, beginning this Friday, June 18 with NYCO’s annual LGBTQ Pride concert, Pride in the Park.

Theater for the New City, Crystal Field, Executive Director, and The After Dinner Opera Company present two new American operatic musical adaptations from classical works, Seymour Barab's operatic parody Out the Window based upon Georges Feydeux's farce 'Par La Fenetre;' and Rappaccini's Daughter, based on Nathaniel Hawthorne's gothic short story, with libretto by Linsey Abrams and music by Michael Cohen. Lissa Moira directs. Performances will be staged at the Cino Theatre at Theater for the New City, 155 First Avenue (bet. 9th and 10th Streets), New York, NY 10003 from tonight, September 11-28, 2014.

This year marks the 30th anniversary of the Dicapo Opera Theatre, which is presenting The Most Happy Fella. This May-September romance features a book, music, and lyrics by Tony-Award winner Frank Loesser, best known for Guys and Dolls and How To Succeed in Business Without Really Trying. The Most Happy Fela is directed by Michael Capasso and the conductor is Pacien Mazzagatti. Choreography is by Francine Harmon, set design by John Farrell, costume design by Julie Wyma and lighting design by Susan Roth.
