Broadway's original Elle Woods, Laura Bell Bundy, returned to her hometown of Lexington, Kentucky to co-direct The LEXington Theatre Company's production of Legally Blonde. The Tony nominated actress teamed up with The LEX Artistic Director Lyndy Franklin Smith (A Chorus Line, The Little Mermaid), for her directorial debut. Check out highlights from the show below!

Broadway's original Elle Woods, Laura Bell Bundy, returned to her hometown of Lexington, Kentucky to co-direct The LEXington Theatre Company's production of Legally Blonde. Legally Blonde, the third mainstage production from The LEXington Theatre Company, opened last night, and features original choreography by Jerry Mitchell, recreated and adapted by Brooke Engen (Gypsy, Hairspray) and Tiffany Engen (Legally Blonde), as well as original Broadway cast members Kevin Pariseau and Chico the Chihuahua. Des Moines Metro Opera's (DMMO) General and Artistic Director, Michael Egel, has announced the full casting for the Company's 45th Summer Festival Season, which runs from June 23 through July 16, 2017, and offers 17 performances of four different operas.

The LEXington Theatre Company presents its third summer production, combining "Today's Broadway Stars and Tomorrow's Broadway Hopefuls." Lexington's own Laura Bell Bundy (Tony-Nominee for Legally Blonde), will be on hand to co-direct the show (schedule permitting), alongside The LEX Artistic Director, Lyndy Franklin Smith (A Chorus Line, The Little Mermaid). In March 2017, Utah Opera will present a perennial favorite, Donizetti's 'Lucia di Lammermoor,' the tale of two doomed lovers struggling against forces beyond their control, for the first time since 2007. This production will be performed at the Janet Quinney Lawson Capitol Theatre on March 11, 13, 15 and 17 at 7:30 PM and March 19 at 2 PM.

Pennsylvania Ballet and Artistic Director Angel Corella are proud to open the season on October 13 - 23 with Ben Stevenson's Cinderella sponsored by PECO. Three weeks later, Revolution, a triple - bill featuring the George Balanchine classicSquare Dance, David Dawson's The Third Light, and a World Premiere by Philadelphia-based choreographer Brian Sanders will run November 11 - 13.

Penobscot Theatre Company is proud to present Transformer Tales: Stories of the Dawnland, a new play about Gluskape, the benevolent culture hero of the Wabanaki tribes, who taught the people the arts of civilization and protected them from danger. This original work is the culmination of a yearlong collaboration among the theatre, Penobscot elders and playwrights, native scholars, and educators from Indian Island. It will be performed by young people aged 4-19, engaged in the theatre's intensive summer camp program: August 11 at 6:00 pm at the Indian Island School; August 12-13 at 7:00 pm at the Bangor Opera House, 131 Main Street, Bangor; and August 14 at 3:00 pm at Blackwoods Amphitheater in Acadia National Park, as part of the park's Centennial Celebration.

The famed Philadelphia dance company JUNK Dance Company - which presents its dance show for adults later that evening -- creates a world of magic and wonder especially for kids.

The company comes to Lancaster tonight, February 1 at 7:30 PM at the Winter Center, 60 Cottage Avenue on the Millersville University campus in Millersville.
