'Breaking Surface,' performed at Theater for the New City, led the audience into an emotional experience as they followed a protagonist who is shepherded on a voyage alongside his muses. An original production by Gwyneth Larsen and William Mulholland, the grace, power, and acrobatic skill of the dance ensemble created a highly saturated scene as they seamlessly moved through moments of tension, fantasies of flight, and tales of adventure and sensuality.

'Breaking Surface' is an acrobatic aerial dance theater work staged in and over a thirty-by-twenty five foot shallow pool of water. It will be presented March 19 to 23 at Theater for the New City, 155 First Avenue (at E. 10th Street) by AiRealistic, an aerial theater company that was 'born out of a love of physical expression and an incessant urge to take wing.' It is performed by an ensemble of seven dancer/performers.

FUERZA BRUTA: LOOK UP hosts 'Girls' Night Out' on Thursday, June 10th at 8 PM at the Daryl Roth Theatre (20 Union Sq. East at 15th St.). In a unique twist, this 'Girls Night Out' features the men of FUERZA BRUTA at the center of the action (and in one of the show's signature scenes - a mylar pool suspended just inches above the audience).
