Gianna Roccaro BIO

A native New Yorker, Gianna Roccaro has most recently been seen in Manhattan School of Music’s production of Sweeney Todd (Soloist/Ensemble). The West End Lounge, The Duplex and Lorenzo’s have also been settings where she has shared her eclectic musical theatre repertoire. Some of Gianna’s favorite credits are Annie Get Your Gun (Annie Oakley), Hello, Dolly! (Dolly Levi), Nine (Mama Maddelena), Aida (Amneris), Joseph…Dreamcoat (The Narrator), The Wild Party (Kate u/s), The Human Comedy Workshop for Encores! (Dolly Hawthorne), and as a featured performer at The Drama League Benefit Gala Honoring Nathan Lane. Her Richmond County Ballpark performances of “The Star-Spangled Banner” were especially rewarding, as Miss Richmond County’s Outstanding Teen 2013. A top 5 finalist of the Roger Rees Awards and the recipient of the Richmond Choral Society Scholarship, Gianna is a member of the inaugural Musical Theatre program at Manhattan School of Music. She is pursuing a Bachelor of Music and currently studying with one of NYC’s most-respected voice teachers, Andrea Green. Off-stage, Gianna directed and choreographed her first children’s show, titled Staten Island Academy Meets Broadway, last summer. She very much enjoys listening to the Beatles, watching her favorite Marvel movies, collecting vinyl records, baking and spending time with her big, Sicilian family.
