Conchita Belisle Newman BIO

Originally from Cape Cod, Massachusetts, Conchita attended NYU Tisch School of the Arts and then went on to receive her Bachelor of Fine Arts in Musical Theater from The Boston Conservatory. Favorite shows include: Side Show (Violet), Into the Woods, Annie (Lilly St. Regis) and Fiddler on the Roof (Hodel). Conchita is also a member of the Academy Repertory Company at New Musicals Inc. as well as a member of their 4x10 ensemble. In addition to performing, Conchita is also an accomplished exotic animal trainer having worked with lions and tigers and bears (oh my), among other exciting animals including dolphins and sea lions. Conchita is also a proud co-owner of JTN Music, an Emmy award winning music editorial company. In her spare time, she enjoys flying trapeze, playing with her alpacas and chickens on her “mini-farm” in Shadow Hills and being mom to her two beautiful children Paige and Alexavier.

New Musicals Inc. aired 51 hours of live streamcast footage of musical theatre readings, concerts, creative sessions, as well as interviews with writers and producers, all part of the most recent Stages Musical Theatre Festival. The Festival ran for fifteen years in Chicago before New Musicals Inc. brought it to the West Coast about a decade ago.
