BIO

Maestra Melinda Hole is an accomplished Australian conductor, with an international reputation and many appointments as Chief Conductor and Ensemble Director to her credit. Maestra Hole completed a Master of Arts degree majoring in Conducting at the Universitat Mozarteum in Salzburg Austria. She completed her Bachelor of Music studies in Sydney, receiving First Class Honours for a double major in Performance and Composition. She also has a Graduate Diploma in Music Education. She is currently completing a Doctorate in Musical Arts at the Sydney Conservatorium of Music, Australia.

As a professional freelance musician, Melinda specialises in woodwind instruments with high levels of musical proficiency on Flute, Clarinet and Alto Saxophone. During her career she has performed and conducted in Asia, Europe and across Australia with an array of orchestras and wind ensembles. She has conducted concerts in many prestigious venues and locations around the world, including the Sydney Opera House, Australian National Radio Broadcasting studios, and to audiences in Prague, Vienna, Singapore and China. In 2017 she was an honoured guest conductor with the Bad Reichenhall Philharmonic Orchestra in Germany and the Universitat Mozarteum Wind Symphony of Salzburg, Austria in 2017.

In September 2018, she was invited to guest conduct the Ruse Philharmonic Orchestra in Bulgaria and has since been invited to return to the country to work with other professional orchestras.
