Jon Robin Baitz, playwright of Broadway's Other Desert Cities, for which he has received a 2012 Tony Award nominee for Best Play, had his caricature unveiled at Sardi's today, May 31. Tony nominee Norm Lewis, currently starring on Broadway as Porgy in The Gershwins' PORGY AND BESS, joined the legendary walls of Sardi's when his caricature was unveiled and hung yesterday, May 30th, during a special ceremony. His portrait joins the hundreds of Broadway and Hollywood celebrities, including his co-star and fellow 2012 Tony nominee Audra McDonald, as well as co-star David Alan Grier also Tony-nominated for his performance in The Gershwins' PORGY AND BESS.

Stockard Channing, Rachel Grifiths and Stacy Keach, co-stars of the Broadway play Other Desert Cities, had their caricatures unveiled at Sardi's yesterday, February 16. The Mountaintop by Katori Hall, stars Samuel L. Jackson as Dr. Martin Luther King, Jr., and Angela Bassett, and is directed by Tony Award® nominee Kenny Leon (Stick Fly, Fences, A Raisin in the Sun). It began performances on September 22, 2011 at the Bernard B. Jacobs Theatre and opened on Thursday, October 13, 2011 for a limited engagement through January 22, 2012. Upon closing The Mountaintop will have played 24 preview and 117 regular performances.

On July 13th, 2008 Laurence Fishburne had his Sardi's portrait unveiled at the famous restaurant. Fishburne is currently starring in the one man show Thurgood.

Legally Blonde star Laura Bell Bundy joined the ranks of the many Broadway legends whose portraits hang on the walls of the famous 44th Street restaurant Sardi's, when her caricature was unveiled on April 24th, 2008.

On March 28th, 2008 the international sensation Nunsense celebrated its 25th Anniversary with the unveiling of Dan Goggin's Caricature at Sardi's Restaurant.
