Outgoing National Arts Festival Artistic Director, Ismail Mahomed, was celebrated at the National Arts Festival yesterday morning, in a ceremony during which the winners of the 2016 Standard Bank Ovation Awards were revealed.

New York Live Arts has announced an array of winter and spring events for the Suitcase Fund, Live Arts' signature international artist and cultural exchange program. Events include Research Presentations by Serbian artists Saša Asenti?& Ana Vujanovi?, as well as Marijana Cvetkovi? Markovi? and Miki Braniste; and a two week research residency by South African choreographers Thabiso Pule & Thami Hector Manekhla, in partnership with Movement Research.

Friends, family, and colleagues will gather on Sunday, March 14 at 3:00pm at the Colony Theatre in Burbank to celebrate the life of Lars Hansen. A major force in Southern California's theatre scene for nearly 30 years, Hansen died on January 31 at his Palm Springs home after a battle with liver cancer. He was 60.
